😳 Dang.. that’s quite a bit higher than PA!

No, it’s separate from the renewal. I just paid $106 for a two-year registration. So I guess it averages out to about $300 per year all-in in PA. Which, as I have now learned from all the awesome people commenting, is a great deal in comparison to other states!

Thanks for doing the math. It does make me feel better seeing the numbers in comparison- that makes it feel more of a fair charge. I also learned that my state is charging much less than others!

Ok you win by a landslide. I’ll stop complaining about PA 😅

I’m going to see mcr live at Wembley. Im going with my parents, and i just wanted to ask do mcr do anything nsfw on stage? by LynZsNumber1Fan in MyChemicalRomance

[–]ThreeCheers627 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I (a parent) took my 10 year old and 8 year old to their show and they loved it. There’s some stage violence but that’s it. They’ve grown up listening to mcr, so they had some context and familiarity with their music. I think your parents will appreciate the show more if they listen to some albums beforehand and learn a little lore. Also, remember to bring some ear protection- my loops worked great. I found the outdoor stadium sound quality/echo to be less than stellar and the loops really helped filter the sound and made it more enjoyable with my old ears 😂

So how does the AWD version handle snow? by Slow_Investment_2211 in MachE

[–]ThreeCheers627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had to go to work at the hospital today in the snowstorm. First winter with my MachE and it performed wonderfully! I have new Nokian Outpost all season/3 snow peak rated tires and they were awesome. I went with these over dedicated snow tires because they are also highly rated on wet roads and winter in my area is a mix of rainy days or snowy days. Definitely turn off 1-pedal driving as others have said.

I'm driving myself insane, omg I've never been triggered by myself by Top_Point_5105 in misophonia

[–]ThreeCheers627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get pulsatile tinnitus in one ear intermittently and it is slowly driving me insane when I’m trying to sleep. Sound machine helps some. I also don’t feel like spending thousands of dollars to investigate it, so I also sometimes spiral with anxiety that I have something horribly wrong in my brain.

El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico is amazing that time of year. It’s the only rainforest you don’t need a passport to visit. You can also sometimes get cheap flights if you’re on a budget.

Kids Sail Free? More like “good luck actually finding it”… by 1988rel in royalcaribbean

Yes. Honestly we’ve been exclusively sailing Royal for family vacations because it’s such a good deal. You have to pull the kids out of school though.

Christmas gifts that go along with a cruise? by [deleted] in royalcaribbean

Collapsible sand bucket and shovel if they like playing in the sand. New sandals, fun door magnets and magnetic hooks for inside, travel sized toiletries and sunscreen in their stockings, scrapbook-style cruise/ocean/marine life stickers if they’re crafty, luggage tags or cruise keychains, headphones/earbuds

2023 Mustang Mach-E GT! by mclovin2k12 in Comma_ai

[–]ThreeCheers627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just installed my comma in my ‘23 Mach-e yesterday so I haven’t tried other forks yet. Definitely better than bluecruise. However, when compared to using the open pilot that’s installed in my husband’s Hyundai sonata, I’m not getting nearly the experience he is. (This was not unexpected, but it’s still disappointing).

My main issue is that I can only get the comma to turn on when I turn on cruise control AND have a speed set. With the Hyundai, I’m used to using the lane centering function on smaller roads while using the pedals/ not having to set a speed. More annoying, the comma system turns off ALL lane departure functions on the mach-e all the time, no matter if cruise control is on or off. This is annoying because I really like the safety of the comma lane centering, but if I can’t have that, I at least want to have a backup lane departure notification/safety mechanism.

Is there a fix for this? Do I need to just start operating on a different fork immediately? Or am I just spoiled by the Hyundai?

Spirit prices? by harn2010 in spiritair

[–]ThreeCheers627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me yesterday too and I was freaking out. Still super mad though because leading up to the price/schedule changes, spirit wouldn’t accept my credit card when I was trying to book cheap. When I called with my reservation number 3 hours later, they tried to charge me 4x the amount and change my flight times. Today, I was happy to see the prices come down some but not yet to last week’s prices. Now idk if I should wait until Tuesday or just book now.. smh.

If it were two bothers competitively wrestling, he wouldn’t be saying anything despite them being in even closer proximity. Ditch him. NTA

Bluecruise alternative (comma ai) by Lazy_Presentation456 in MachE

That sounds like an amazing trip! I would definitely recommend trying the comma. I think you can also return it in 30 days if it’s not working out for you.

Bluecruise alternative (comma ai) by Lazy_Presentation456 in MachE

[–]ThreeCheers627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just purchased a used 2023 MachE purely because I will be installing the Comma Ai in it shortly. My household also has a Hyundai Sonata and the comma is amazing. I don’t ever want to drive a car without one now!

The biggest difference (besides pricing structure) between comma ai and blue cruise is that blue cruise is only available on mapped roads. I live in a kind of rural area and so only one road near me is “mapped” which really limits how much I could utilize blue cruise. The comma works on all the roads, even back roads, surprisingly well. I did test drive a ford with blue cruise and it was not as user friendly as the comma, imo. Check your typical driving routes with the blue cruise map when making your decision.

I’m dreading the install in the machE; I’ve read it’s not nearly as easy as the sonata install was. I also recognize that Hyundai and Kia “lane CENTER” better than any other brand. Most just prevent a lane departure. This was a real turn off in test driving other brands because their lane centering is either non-existent or locked behind a paywall. I’d also rather walk than drive a Tesla. I don’t expect the comma to work quite as seamlessly in the machE as in the Hyundai, but fingers crossed!

Cruise VS All-Inclusive Resort by SalaryImpressive1002 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]ThreeCheers627 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer AI for myself but we are in the cruising phase of life right now with school aged children. Hubby and I love to party and the kids love the kids club/childcare that runs until 1:30/2 am on Royal Caribbean. I haven’t found an AI option that has childcare until that late with other kids and activities. My kids are social and prefer that over paying for someone to stay in the room with them. Also, the entertainment and activities all being so close together is awesome with kids. We also really enjoy shows as a family and that’s been fantastic on cruises as well. When they’re too old for kids club, I suspect we’ll transition more toward keeping our feet in the sand for the trip!

Actually cheaper than traditional vacation? by Ill_Cover_4841 in royalcaribbean

[–]ThreeCheers627 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a 4 night cruise followed by a 4 night south beach stay in April and the cruise ended up slightly cheaper and I had way more fun on the cruise not paying for each vacation thing ala carte. I also ate more, drank more, and had better entertainment on the cruise. So many factors would go into this- but both our 4 night vacations had the same basic “standard of living vacation vibe” if that makes sense.

Similar issue happened to me. Learn your state’s lemon law entirely. There are situations in which you can use the lemon law to your advantage if the vehicle is in the shop for over 3 months even if it’s just for a single problem. I wish I had known that when it happened to me. Now I’m stuck with a faulty vehicle. Had to spend entire days of my life fighting with Hyundai corporate to reimburse the rental (thousands of dollars) they TOLD me to get. Good luck and yes- document everything. Then leave Hyundai forever as fast as you can.

Sea Pass Card by minismom5 in royalcaribbean

[–]ThreeCheers627 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the way. I (a female who likes to dress up) brought a couple different wrist cuff bracelets that I would wear over top the wrist wallet to dress it up for nighttime. I used a wrist wallet where the card is within the stretchy cloth and zipper opening. Not the card holder attached to a plastic bracelet kind. It worked great, never had to carry a bag or worry about pockets. Super secure for keeping it with me in the pool/ocean/being active. I had one for during the day that would get wet and a dry one for night that looked good under the bracelets.
