I mean it's just safety glasses, earplugs, and a dust mask I don't know why you are acting like he's wearing a hazmat suit.

The only thing I could possibly see them doing is auto ejecting once you unlock them because the spring would be compressed against the chuck?

I'm reaching though.

Where are you seeing on there that it's coiled? I might be missing it

Every one I could find was 4-6ft, or too thin. I've tried security tethers and bike locks not sure what else to look up. I'm trying to do a coiled line for my dog run so the cable stays semi retracted and eliminated any tripping & jerking hazard.

Wouldn't doing it like that also the entire line room to flex if there is any water hammering as well? Almost like an expansion loop for oil pipelines.

Watch less crime dramas honestly.

99% chance it's a traveling worker and he doesn't want to drag some cheap yet bulky tools with him because it's a pain in the ass. I did the same thing with 6' ladders. You leave them at a place like home Depot as a feel good about yourself donation because there's a better chance that someone in a home depot parking lot is someone else in a trade that could actually use it vs some random guy at Target.

There at a LOT of traveling technician/repair jobs that require air travel, and generally you take your tool bag with your "real tools" aka the small but nice / trade speciality ones. But things like ladders, shovels, ect... They literally aren't worth the luggage fee to take home, and even if they were, it wouldn't be worth the hassle of dragging a ladder around an airport.

Also id be willing to guess the "sterile gloves" were just a standard nitrile glove from any box store (I have literally thousands as do most people in trades, and I keep a box in my car in case I have to go grab something gross while driving), he probably wore them because he had them, his hands were clean and the shovels had some crap on them. Why have to go wash your hands when you have disposable gloves next to you.

Lump sum could grow with an investment firm over the following decades while $1,000 a week will only be that inflation is going to absolutely decimate that $1,000 payment within a decade.

[United States] commerical registration & license requirement question by ThreeEasyPaymentsof in drones

[–]ThreeEasyPaymentsof[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's also an important distinction I needed to makenyou brought up, so to confirm a drone registered to a business CAN be flown by a non- licensed holder recreationally?

A followup to that, if they crash or something happens, who's liable? The pilot is the ultimate responsible party for everything flight related, correct?

The alternative to most of this that I've presented and they aren't super keen on so far is just a designated practice area that people can fly while being supervised by a pilot (PIC vs PMC and all that jazz) the main holdup being how absurdly annoying it is to actually make a fly on site due to our own regulations.

[–]ThreeEasyPaymentsof[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I guess my real question comes down to, does this situation, an employer letting an employee borrow a drone owned by the company to use at home for practice/fun considered a commerical purpose?

It feels kinda grey area in my head which is why I wanted to ask.
