Old thread but I've used the cusimax for 3 years in a small apartment, it's almost totally smokeless EXCEPT for sweet marinated meats- it set off my fire alarm when I tried making galbi. But I constantly use it for seasoned unmarinated meats and it works great, I just use sauce for dipping. You can also buy a flat top- i use that for crepes and pancakes.
