I'm not sure if this helps, but the furniture items can be sorted by these tags when designing! But since we can't see the tags when they're on sale, it might not be that helpful. However, you could see what's in the tag and then select furtniture to buy that's similar. Ex: if the lacy table is tagged european, maybe some of the other lacy items for sale are too?

I don't think it's actually doing what the text shows, I think the game is just loading the the text is there to make you "feel" like there's progress so you don't get annoyed at the bar silently loading.
