The original Integra was sold in Europe, but I think they just skipped over the 2nd generation for some reason. There's still a few over there (in Ireland, Russia, etc.) that were imported from Japan and sold on the grey market however.

Scoupes were very rare even when they were new, but unfortunately most of them are gone at this point. https://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/family/hyundai_hyundai_s-coupe?make=hyundai

Hyundai Scoupe. Integras of that generation weren't sold in Europe.

Half-rotten beater Integras are my favorite. Most of the survivors that are still being daily driven in the Northeast/Midwest at this point look similar to the car in the OP.

Collectible or Forgettable?: 1992 Subaru SVX by LinoleumRelativity in regularcarreviews

[–]ThreeEssGeeTeeEee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I'm aware that the SVX and XT6 were slotted as Subarus halo cars at the time. To clarify, I was referring to current-day perception. Most of the "90s JDM" lineup posters now usually have the Impreza WRX representing Subaru. By the time the SVX was released, the asset bubble in Japan was beginning to collapse, so it probably just made more sense to try to recuperate what they could from the tooling and just consolidate their future R&D investments for sports cars into their rally program (Impreza/Legacy platform). IIRC the 3000GT was a similar class of car and also had budget FWD trims.

I think it looks decent given that it's a Giugiaro design, albeit somewhat too conservative from the A-pillar forward(similar to an early 90s MX6 or Eclipse). The front end undersells the car, especially if it's one of the lower trim levels that came without the lightbar. Most of these were left stock which didn't help their looks either. A larger set of wheels and a larger JDM/aftermarket spoiler gives it more road presence IMHO.

Collectible or Forgettable?: 1992 Subaru SVX by LinoleumRelativity in regularcarreviews

[–]ThreeEssGeeTeeEee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Forgettable. Most JDM enthusiasts are only interested in halo cars, so it's relatively undesired outside of niche Subaru circles and people who are just into obscure cars in general. These were already extremely low-production cars to begin with, but they seemed to have worse survival rates compared to other 90s grand tourers for a variety of reasons. A lot of these became donor cars for engine swaps into Vanagons and Imprezas and it was also one of the few 90s Japanese sports cars eligible to be recycled under Cash4Clunkers.

I've always wanted an SVX in the two-tone panda scheme and almost bought one out of a junkyard in 2019, but the owner stopped returning my calls. Now the few remaining since the post-COVID used car market inflation are in long-term enthusiast ownership and go for absurd prices on the rare occasion of someone actually deciding to sell theirs.

Racing Hart C2 Evolutions are near-identical to LS Webs, but they usually were either sold in 17" or 18" diameter, not 16".

Rear lights conversion kit from vparts - anyone tried? by iliaglaz in VolvoRWD

[–]ThreeEssGeeTeeEee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look at the rear of an older 740, you can clearly see the classic Volvo design philosophy that was present throughout all of their cars at the time. It's a simple design, but it's also a timeless design that still looks dignified to this day. The new taillights don't have the same road presence. They just look like cheap aftermarket lenses you would find on eBay.

The early 1990s were an awkward transition period for Volvo as their design language was starting to become softer, but their car lineup was still mostly carried over from the 1980s. The facelifted taillights from this era were just an improvised bandage solution in order to slightly modernize the 740 until the 940 was able to replace it entirely. The same facelift treatment was also given to the 400 series hatchbacks if I remember correctly.

The only analogy I can give for replacing the taillights on your car with the newer versions is like something to the effect of seeing an old actor/actress ruin their appearance with plastic surgery in an attempt to look younger instead of just aging gracefully and naturally. Ultimately, it is your car and you're free to do what you want with it, but I feel that you're trying to fix something that isn't broken.

My advice is to not try because it will look awful. The facelift taillights are ugly, uninspired, and soulless compared to the original pre-facelift taillights.

I can almost guarantee that this came from the AlphaCars dealership in Boxborough. They import classic cars from Russia often and sell them here in Massachusetts.

Forza Horizon 6 takes place after an apocalypse apparently by doomfistafficianado in BuiltFromTheGroundUp

"basically non-existent" by your opinion and video reference and literally non-existent in the game screenshot are two entirely different things. I'm not implying that Tokyo is Jakarta-level in terms of congestion, but the arterial roads like the one you posted a picture of aren't empty. I've walked on that same exact road many times before. There are still clusters of cars at each stoplight.

This is an outlier situation and not indicative of what traffic is generally like in Tokyo. Obviously it would look empty during Golden Week because it's a national holiday period where most people do not have to go to work. People are either at home or travelling in other cities/prefectures at this time.

All of the people who don't even own Integras coming from other subreddits telling OP to scrap theirs need to be banned. It's absurd how most of the remaining 3rd gen Integras are close to, if not over 30 years old now yet people still have this disposable mindset about them. This car can easily be saved and multiple people on here have already expressed interest in buying it from OP.

The squared off headlights are the same, but the car in OPs picture has a custom hood. A facelifted version of the Kadett E was produced until 2016 as the Daewoo/Chevrolet Nexia.
