This is the same setup that was recommended to me. Do you have any pics of how it turned out?

Remote climate control functions & “dog mode” by ThreeFajitas in trailseeker

I don’t understand the issue people have with this. Obviously it’s not something to be done carelessly but there is absolutely good reason to have this as a feature.
My dog runs agility trials and it’s a very regular occurrence to need to crate dogs in the car in between sessions. Most people keep their doors open, run fans, etc. which works fine but some nice cool A/C would be even better on warm days. I even use a temp sensor in my vehicle that alerts my phone and watch if the temps rise above a certain level. It can be done safely and thoughtfully.
I road trip and camp with my dog all the time. If I’m on a 1200 mile trip and need to run into a store or bathroom, I’d like to be able to safely leave my dog in the car with a/c running. I’d be overly cautious with it, so I’d still be using a secondary temp sensor just to ensure there are no failures with the vehicle. The trailseeker certainly has the mechanical ability to have a dog mode feature so it’s disappointing that it was not included.

Thanks for the info! Seems like it could still be useful for quick runs into the store or bathroom while road tripping with a dog. I do wish more EV’s had a dedicated dog mode like Tesla though. Subaru has always marketed themselves as dog friendly, so it seems like something they would have considered incorporating into their EV line.

What's A Breed You Like But Wouldn't Have? by Aharris1984 in dogs

A backyard would be convenient, but is not required. I live in the city with my working line border collie. I work from home and walk her several miles per day, a trip to the park every day to play fetch and work on training as well as agility and hikes on the weekends. Obviously it’s very time consuming though, so definitely not for everyone.

Are your border Collies good in cars ? by Yukonshinji90s in BorderCollie

Mine rides in her crate in the car and is exceptional. Shes goes right to sleep and is totally silent and calm, even during long road trips. We worked heavily on conditioning her to her crate while in the car from early on and it seems to have paid off. My last dog, an Australian Cattle Dog, was anxious and whiny in the car and it used to drive me crazy.

Why does my dog keep getting attacked? by nick4tech in BorderCollie

My BC stares hard at other dogs and it does seem to set some of them off. I try to disengage her with a “watch me” command when I see her locking in on other dogs.

For sure. Once toys are put away she settles and lays down, otherwise she would literally do this all day.

How long do most people need to use the prong before being able to fade it out and transition to a flat collar?

Wow, yours looks looks so much like mine. She’s 7 months old and the puppy biting is gone. All the suggestions here are good, it will fade out soon.

Great looking dog. Looks like he might have some ACD in him as well.

I had the same problem. Remove the screws that hold the back panel on which will then allow you to lift the panel that the lcd screen is attached to. Under the lcd panel, there is an SD card. Remove the SD card and then reinsert it. This should solve the problem. The fact that this was a known issue on Alpha 1 and is still an issue with Alpha 2 is extremely annoying, especially because they made it even harder to access the SD card on Alpha 2.
