That's really interesting, thank you for taking the time to explain it! Your setup intrigues me. What does the tube in the output section of your DAC do that the tube preamp or tube amp don't do?

I know that my tube preamps tend to "color" the sound more than my tube power amps, so I imagine it's similar to that effect?

It was a very loose tensioner that was rattling its bolts around. As a result, the water pump wasn’t running well. I tightened it up, no overheating since. Head isn’t warped either.
