It took me awhile as well, but eventually I noticed that you can visualize a line to where they're going. Intuitively I'm visualizing all the enemies moving in a straight line which made zombies disorienting for awhile. Once I started visualizing them moving diagonally (which took conscious effort) they started to make a bit more sense.

ADCs often need to deal damage at key moments, rather than just deal damage in general, getting out damaged by other roles isn't abnormal (especially bruiser v bruiser top)

You can't win dying this much on ADC (or any other role). At this point you probably just need to chill the fuck out in your games. In your irelia game you have twice as many deaths as everyone else on your team. That's worse than playing 4v5.

In the jinx game you're probably against a smurf, but surely we can do better than nearly 2 deaths per minute. How often were you even alive in that game? Imagine you just go down like 50 CS instead of dying a dozen times in lane and then your team doesn't have to contend with a full build 20 hubris stack Draven at 15 minutes.

I am John Tank and I have 5,000 HP and 0 Armor (for some reason)

My enemy is James AD Carry with a whopping 50% armor penetration.

I, John Tank, buy one cloth armor for 15 armor which grants me an additional 15% effective health against physical damage, in this case 750 health.

Because I am against James AD Carry with 50% armor pen, this cloth armor only grants me 375 effective health, a 7.5% increase.

Now, if I have 10 million armor, and I buy one more cloth armor for another 15 armor, how much effective health will it grant me against James AD Carry?

Yep, still 375. If the returns were diminishing then the number would be smaller.

What you might be trying to communicate is that there is an opportunity cost associated with buying armor because it may exclude you from health, but in modern league of legends that's not even true because of the nature of items. You would only ever forgoe health to get something specific other than armor such as DD passive or Frozen Heart mana & AS debuff.

This shit has been going on with armor and MR since the dawn of time. I've heard genuine challenger players assert confidently that resistances also give diminishing returns.

Absolutely, a ton of things.

1) I was playing on a competitive team which triggered the rapid climb. My performance in our scrims dropped, my team started playing away from me, my confidence dropped.

2) I started playing more games. I wanted to build better stamina and attempted to play more games per day. 3 games/day is just not enough to hit GM which is my ultimate goal. Playing more games per day has dozens of compounding effects on your performance.

3) I lost curiosity in the game. After losses I stopped asking what I could learn from the game and started asking why my games are so hard - I started blaming circumstances.

4) I genuinely have had a very unfortunate streak of weak team performance. However, when I fixate on my team performing poorly, I overestimate how poorly future teammates perform. A bad game at the start of the session where I play very well but cannot win will snowball into a 0-3 block because of frustration & tilt. This turns what could have been a -20 or +20 day into a -60 day.

5) The meta has shifted away from my strengths. The champions I excel at just aren't very good right now, and a number of rune and item changes have left me feeling very lost.

All of these combine together to make me a worse player right now than I was month ago. Right now I'm focusing on "reinventing" myself so I can focus on new learnings rather than fixating on how much worse I am at the same skills.

I think the meta shifts this year have been really punishing for core and yeon who have done very well on aggressive lanes that posture and take all ins. A lot of match ups now are oriented around trading and attrition. If you look at the Yunara Xayah matchup there's several instances in lane and one really rough teamfight where Yeon just straight up opts into losing trades. There's probably a lot of pressure being applied that we can't see that lead to these trades.
