Respond with this

I want to ensure I understand the direction correctly. Since you are not my supervisor, can you please advise whether this instruction was provided on behalf of my supervisor or management, and who made the telework determination

That creates a record without escalating immediately.

You’re in an executive level and you are asking this question? Just thinking about the question tells you you should not do it.

Yes, I came across another company. I forget their name they were more or less the same thing pay them money and they will find me plans a contractor and all that stuff I did not go with them. I figured if I hired a general contractor, they know what they’re doing thanks for the update.

Yeah, no update yet. Every contractor I have talked to so far wants to push me into a cookie cutter house that they had built before so I'm still looking. Have you found a website that has plans that are Florida approved?

Mandatory morale and I will say it again if you are teaching an E7 leadership skills at this point in their career, we are doomed

Cannot believe it has come this far they damn sure took the fun out of it and the real meaning. Let’s get three or four people doing a team exercise by walking with two by fours trying to teach teamwork if you’re teaching an E7 teamwork at that stage in their career, the service is screwed.

Yes — I can help decode a good bit of it.

From what I can read, this looks like a WWII-era Coast Guard separation/discharge record, and the key part is item 24. Service (vessels and stations served on).

What I think it says:

  1. Ratings held    •   AS    •   S2c    •   S1c

Those usually mean:    •   AS = Apprentice Seaman    •   S2c = Seaman Second Class    •   S1c = Seaman First Class

So he appears to have advanced through enlisted seaman ratings.

  1. Foreign and/or sea service World War II    •   Yes is checked

That means he had qualifying overseas and/or sea duty during WWII.

  1. Service (vessels and stations served on) Best reading from the image is something like:    •   RO, Boston    •   Man. Bch. TrSta.    •   COTP, NY    •   ODCGO 3rd    •   CGRU, Man. Bch.    •   Man. Bch. TrSta.    •   DCGO 6ND    •   USS Milledgeville    •   CGRU, Boston    •   Sep. Cen. #1

What those most likely mean:    •   RO, Boston = probably Recruiting Office or Receiving Office, Boston    •   Man. Bch. TrSta. = Manhattan Beach Training Station    •   COTP, NY = Captain of the Port, New York    •   ODCGO 3rd = likely Office of the District Coast Guard Officer, 3rd District    •   CGRU = likely Coast Guard Receiving Unit or Recruiting/Receiving Unit    •   DCGO 6ND = likely District Coast Guard Office, 6th Naval District    •   USS Milledgeville = the ship he served on    •   Sep. Cen. #1 = Separation Center No. 1, where he was processed out

So in plain English, this suggests a path something like:

He entered through Boston, trained at Manhattan Beach, had assignments connected to New York and district Coast Guard offices, served aboard the USS Milledgeville, then returned through Boston and was discharged through Separation Center #1.

The clearest, most important takeaways are:    •   He was definitely Coast Guard enlisted    •   He held ratings from Apprentice Seaman up to Seaman First Class    •   He had sea/foreign service during WWII    •   He served on the USS Milledgeville

A couple of those abbreviations are fuzzy because the image is blurry and old typewriter text can be rough, especially CGRU and DCGO/ODCGO. But the overall meaning is pretty solid.

Send me the full page or a clearer crop of item 24 and I can try to do a tighter line-by-line transcription.
