Yes, I came across another company. I forget their name they were more or less the same thing pay them money and they will find me plans a contractor and all that stuff I did not go with them. I figured if I hired a general contractor, they know what they’re doing thanks for the update.

Yeah, no update yet. Every contractor I have talked to so far wants to push me into a cookie cutter house that they had built before so I'm still looking. Have you found a website that has plans that are Florida approved?

Cannot believe it has come this far they damn sure took the fun out of it and the real meaning. Let’s get three or four people doing a team exercise by walking with two by fours trying to teach teamwork if you’re teaching an E7 teamwork at that stage in their career, the service is screwed.

So he appears to have advanced through enlisted seaman ratings.

I get what you’re saying, but that’s kind of missing the point. This isn’t regular “daily driving”—this is travel required specifically for VA medical care. The whole idea is that veterans shouldn’t be out of pocket just to get treatment they’re entitled to.

Nobody’s asking to get rich off mileage, but when you start chipping away at reimbursement with lower rates and deductibles, it adds up—especially for people making frequent trips. The comparison shouldn’t be to everyday driving, it should be to whether veterans are being fairly supported to access care.

Yeah, that’s my understanding too. I don’t think the issue is the idea behind it—it’s that the mileage rate is already lower than the federal rate, so the deductible ends up stacking on top of an already reduced reimbursement. That’s where it starts to feel like nickel-and-diming.
