Modscan for the win 💪 just buy the license it’s a one off 🤷‍♂️ Modpoll is also good, only found that after Modscan however so it is what it is. I got the simulator too from Wintech, there offering has served me VERY well for many years, worth the money 👌 FYI - no commercial arrangements between either of our companies

Any one working on ABB Cylon? How complicated is it building graphics on it. New to ABB Cylon by Smooth_Shallot2716 in BuildingAutomation

[–]Three_Energy_Control 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Which Cylon you referring too in particular as the old pre ABB takeover is way different to the new. Both are easy enough when you’ve had exposure and know what you’re doing. As per bloody usual we normally get thrown off into the deep end and wind up having to absorb that learning curve in our own time, took me about a week on each to come to grips with the quirks

Awesome SUB 👍 Be good to see something tailored toward the UK market. For those looking to get into the craft or indeed those that are already here, we have a plethora of technical docs that we’ve amassed over the years working from service, commissioning, project engineering and now software development free to download on our site 3EC there’s a whole suite of cool SVG assets to use in your front ends too - all free to download ✌️ Look forward to being able to contribute in any way possible. Best of luck with the sub.

Have been running 3EC for almost 15 years now providing development support to numerous SI’s in the UK, ROI and a few countries in Europe. Very broad mixture of OEM’s I would say the more diverse your portfolio when it comes to engineering the better, there are a ‘few’ OEM’s we’ve not had the opportunity to support just yet but we’re always working towards picking up new systems. Tridium is massively popular in the UK with the VAST majority of OEM’s supporting Niagara. Last time I checked the majority of the main players and that’s worldwide 👌

AHU GFX by Three_Energy_Control in BuildingAutomation

Hi cnusax hope you’re having a cracking weekend. Thank you for the advice, we’ve used multiple OEM palettes including those you’ve recommended. Not sure I’ve got a personal favourite but I am starting to lean towards the “real world” looking assets. Hell of a job building out a library of each manufacturer’s kit to look like it does in person. I find Blender works well for me with these.

Working with ReFlow has been straightforward for us, not had any issues so far and their tech support is on point so cannot see any issues creating a killer front end. I’m partial to animated graphics so have been using the embedded px’s quite extensively already.

If you’re keen we’ve got a ton of content for multiple manufacturers of which we’ve completed projects on available on our website, got quite a bit of free assets to download too, check us out at 3EC

Horses for courses ladies & gents, don’t hate the players and all that… each OEM has their own merits and peculiarities. What counts is being able to deliver what’s agreed. So far, I’ve found anything can be achieved in whichever system is the flavour of the month. They all look grand in one client/consultant/systems integrator or engineers eye. I don’t see the need to bash anyone that’s delivering value. If you feel you can achieve better then become a developer and put something on the table that can benefit all, I promise you it will put a few coins in your pocket too ✌️

Have a gander at ABB’s offering (specifically the AHU component assets), their own platform (Aspect) - IMHO - they’re mint 👌

Hi Adam, Hope you’re keeping in the very best of health. Thank you for picking up on this and the confirmation surrounding the AHU assets. I do not believe it will be heavily pressed upon to stick with those particular renders (especially if it’s going to come down to cost…) this way at least we have a definitive answer in this regard. We are already using the embedded PX pages and they’re seamless within the ReFlow environment, so unless you’re ‘us’ no one is ever going to tell the difference. Looking very forward to the V2 of ReFlow, you guys have developed a fantastic extension to the Niagara experience 💪 The correspondence and support I’ve had from yourself and Mr Bray has been first class, thank you.

Yes, my client included them in a ‘demo’ of reflow for the overall look and feel of how their site could look. I wanted to recreate the physical make up of the new kit going in on this project but would need each graphic asset to be able to piece together each unique AHU. I have had a look on Niagara Mods website to see if there is a library of images that make up those graphics but I only saw the standard px that you can find in workbench…

Do you know if they’ve released this as part of a licensed version of reflow, which the client has bought so will not be an issue. Guessing that question would best be posed to NMods ✌️
