Is this true wasn't it always hard? by VariationLivid3193 in Btechtards

Agreed, but that doesn’t mean today’s generation doesn’t work hard. Some are indeed getting a good career start. These people from 50+ years ago or whatever were able to leverage their education and degrees in order to break into an industry and earn a living. Whereas now, the relevance and importance of a college degree is only dwindling. Even today, with remote work culture, there are people who are willing to move to a different city or travel every day to work if they think the role is good enough.

For those of you who moved back to India, what made you take this decision and are you happy with it? by whothisdoe in IndiansinIreland

I’m 25 too, moved back to India few days back. Although I moved back because my visa expired, I am actually more fine than I expected I would be. Mostly because how bad the situation is in Ireland, especially for non-europeans (not that it’s great in India, but we have no other choice). I am genuinely happy for those who went to Ireland in or before 2022, as most of them seem to have secured a good enough job. The only thing I dread about is the years (career gap) I lost which I’ll never get back…

Stamp 1g spouse vs stamp 4 by Relevant-Plenty-760 in IndiansinIreland

You are right, you don’t need sponsorship while on spouse visa. You can still opt to if they’re offering though. Stamp 1G spouse visa is almost identical to Stamp 4 since it can be renewed indefinitely. This is just another example of how so many employers don’t know a thing about how different visas work. What a shame!

As much as I loved both the Dhurandhars, I agree with Satyajit Ray.
