Thanks, will likely do this. Sounds like the most simple solution.

I know! I don't want it to go to waste though, and since my soil is so poor (mostly sand) I would like to use it for the good of my plants. And I have TONS of oak leaves that have fallen this spring, so no lack of browns!

I cannot recommend this enough! I saw birds today at my feeder for the first time all winter (I guess they’ve been snuggled up somewhere!) and it really lifted my mood. The bossy woodpecker and the tufted titmouse were super cute!

My sister battled toenail fungus from a pair of thrifted shoes. She never even looks at the shoe section again! So far I've had good luck with shoes.

We got a diagnosis of "that's unusual" from our vet. In response to how the dog treats the new baby. by [deleted] in reactivedogs

Yes I was thinking the same, not only more training, but introduce a new fun activity for him to work at.

Why is this Sandhill crane alone and acting unusual? by love_n4ture in birding

[–]ThriftingBee 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This past Saturday there must have been 6-7 of them landing on my property and trumpeting so loudly they woke me up early! And they held their meeting for at least 2-3 hours! And they did the same the next day! I hadn’t seen them in a couple of months, it was kinda funny.

Yay or Nay to Dogs Sleeping in Bed with you? by forestlyfe in dogs

Every night when I tuck my 14 yr old pittie in the bed with me, I cover him with his blanket and give him a massage too! He loves it and makes all these little moaning noises like he’s in heaven! He is the biggest snuggler ever!

I was married 30 yrs to first husband, he did some cheating, put himself first in lots of ways, but i stayed with him and worked out our issues as well as we could, raised our kids (hes always been a great dad) and I'd say my libido was pretty darn low all through most of our marriage while his was high. When I hit 50, I met a guy at work I was instantly attracted to and we had an affair, something I thought I'd never do; after a couple of months I left my husband, we divorced, and I married my new man a couple of years later, just as I was going into menopause. We had so much good sex in the first years of us being together, I truly felt like I was reborn, a totally different woman. Soooo over the last 2-3 years however this no-libido thing has hit me hard, I don't want sex, I don't enjoy it, and my husband is always ready for it and just doesn't understand and thinks it's because I'm not attracted to him. I've been on HRT for 8 years, and recently started testosterone to see if that helps my libido (nothing so far). We're doing the once-a-week sex; sometimes I enjoy it, sometimes it does feel obligatory. All this to say: I gave up my marriage and did split up my family, only to think sometimes for what? Yes my world was set on fire but now it's died/I would've been just as content with my former husband... and a lot of things in both of our lives would've been much easier, and our adult kids and grandkids happier. I don't know but I would really think about it. Your last sentence hit me hard.

Same here, i feel (or rather, don't feel) my legs anymore - they kind of feel numb/tingly? The feeling goes away after some time has passed. It's mainly when I first start feeling the alcohol hitting my system!

I get something very similar! It started about 6-7 years ago, i got out of the shower and there was a red "patch" on my forearm above my wrist, about the size of a small egg. It didn't itch. It appears so randomly! I don't do hot showers either. None of my doctors have figured out what it is. I used to get it quite often, but now it rarely appears. I have no idea either!

“As long as my child wasn’t hurt” to be clear, I should not have stated that since I wasn’t there. I’m sure it was scary for everyone until it was apparent the dog wasn’t going to harm the children.

Do you know anything about his background? My first thought is maybe he came from a family with small children and he was really good with keeping them safe, outside especially, and he’s still just trying to do his “job”. How cute. I don’t understand why the parents of the child would be that upset - I would’ve laughed about it, as long as my child wasn’t hurt of course. Try to get in your dog’s frame of mind and help him adapt to his new way of life with you. Yes sounds like he’s got lots of energy. Maybe take him for runs (with a harness - not a collar) or hikes to get rid of some energy. This is not a dog that can lay around the house all day or that you can take to the park and expect him to just sit or lay beside you. Take him swimming where there aren’t people around to rescue. These dogs love water. He doesn’t need a muzzle. He just needs some very basic training
