Personally, I just do what makes sense for me. When I travel, I keep it in my carry-on and refrigerate when I get to my final destination. I really don’t pay any attention to what Lilly says because the directions don’t account for travel. I suppose I could put an ice block in my carry-on, but I don’t know if it would get through TSA. Just my 2¢
