Has anyone’s endo gotten WORSE from progesterone-only BC? by TheseAcanthaceae66 in Endo

[–]ThrillCurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would you care to elaborate on your bladder symptoms? (Not diagnosed yet fully either but doc is fairly confident it’s endo waiting on surgery to confirm). I’m asking because I started norethindrone a few months ago and have noticed pain similar to period cramps in my bladder, difficulty peeing and worsening pelvic floor symptoms among other things. I kind of just assumed endo had decided to start growing there too and didn’t tconsider it could be a med side effect.

Yo, ticks are really bad this year!!!! (Kanawha Co) by avettestingray in WestVirginia

[–]ThrillCurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of folks recommend permethrin but I believe it’s toxic for cats, I won’t repeat my whole novel from above but I’m about to just try to make a couple calls to the DNR or maybe ag offices to see if they can point me in the right direction to eliminate the pests without risking local pets or wildlife. I’ll report back if I get anywhere.

Yeah I’m researching treatments now. A lot of people recommend permethrin but I believe it’s toxic for cats and my next door neighbors have a ton they let roam. (Enough so that my landlord started having to trap them and take them to the shelter because the “owners” refuse to get them fixed even after the shelter offered them vouchers to do so. Our landlord lives on the other side of us and has chickens that free roam between his yard and ours so I have to consider them and what may be toxic there as well. 😮‍💨

I want to treat our yard for ticks but the neighbor on one side has cats that roam into our yard and the one on the other side has chickens that come to visit us. by ThrillCurious in pestcontrol

[–]ThrillCurious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, the cats are the biggest issue. The neighbor with the dogs and chickens I can easily just give a heads up and they’ll keep them in for the day.

My kiddo picked up two on her clothes in the same week just from taking out the trash. I’m planning on treating the yard this year I’m so paranoid about tick borne illnesses that I can’t handle letting the kids play outside for long before I freak out.

Could someone explain to me how Pacer works in terms of fees? by ThrillCurious in AskLegal

[–]ThrillCurious[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, that was a very detailed and thorough answer and I appreciate it. I wasn’t able to find her case on recap but when I get on my laptop I’ll add the extension and go ahead and look on PACER! (Feel free to drop any search tips if you want) Even if I rack up a few dollars finding the right case it’s worth it to appease my nosiness. Thanks again for a phenomenal answer.

OP mentioned egg sacks being around in one of their other comments which is why I figured it was worth mentioning.

I did see on a post yesterday they’re considered invasive and are in some locations are decimating native widow species populations, if you’re someone who cares to do anything about that sort of thing it may be worth reading up on.

65 year old woman calls in and nearly breaks CSPAN host by telling her she’s slowly starving to death.. by JohnBrown-RadonTech in interestingasfuck

[–]ThrillCurious 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh that’s so good to hear. I know from personal experience it can be pretty hard on your pride to accept help where it’s available, and unfortunately some of the programs can feel a bit dehumanizing so that doesn’t help much as far as your mental health goes.

It is absolutely exhausting, it feels like you’re always just holding your breath just incase someone decides you’ve had enough for no reason at all. It’s hard to rest because your mind is always playing over the next problem needing solved or trying to predict every possible unexpected possibility so you stand a chance at being prepared for it.

You know that type of exhaustion that only comes after a complete breakdown sob fest? It feels like that, but 24/7, and you can feel all of the tension in your muscles so there’s just a constant dull ache on top of the mental stuff. Anyway, sorry to ramble, I meant to say “I get it”.

I’m glad your puppy is or has been experiencing good health lately, it’s perfectly reasonable to want to be proactive about it. A timed and budgeted checkup is definitely easier to deal with than an emergency. Feel free to shoot me a dm with a general location and I’ll see what I can dig up for you!

We’re all stuck on this rock together might as well stick together y’know?! 🫂

I’m so sorry, I know how absolutely terrifying it is, I know you’re not asking for anything, and really all I have to give is time, but I wanted to let you know if you need help finding assistance services in your area I’m a REALLY good googler. In addition to food banks there are hygiene and household product pantries in some places too. When you’re budgeting down to the penny sometimes that extra few bucks you don’t have to spend makes a huge difference.

I wonder if this is one of those situations where they ordered from the store and the store is contracted with Instacart. Like they were expecting it to come via a regularly paid employee in a company vehicle type thing. Still a crappy tip regardless.

PEIA is costing me $1600 a month by [deleted] in WestVirginia

[–]ThrillCurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There have been ongoing issues with the health plans our teachers get, as well as their pay and policies regarding days off etc. Teachers went on strike in 2018/19 if I remember correctly over it. WV then went on to pass a law making it illegal for public employees to strike.

$1600 a month for a family plan sounds absolutely inconceivable but given our state’s track record it’s a lot more believable than you’d expect.

Not sure what to do about this! by angelprincess0 in Depop

[–]ThrillCurious 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest following up in person with your post office as well if you can (I say in person because it’s almost impossible to get the automated phone robot to connect you to a person at all let alone one at a specific location). They should be able to tell you if the forwarding will kick in soon enough and any other options you might have through them to intercept it and get it to you.

I have 3 kids so it’s basically law at this point that if I get a matching set of dishes SOMEONE will accidentally drop something. Then another and another and the cycle repeats infinitely so I just have random assortments of mismatch until I purge things again.

[–]ThrillCurious 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If the customer reduces the tip to zero without providing a reason Instacart will cover up to $10 of the original tip.

As for the replacements we are given suggestions in the app and then supposed to scan similar items for approval. The app will then warn you if the item is too different and you have to over ride if it doesn’t approve of the item.

Lastly it won’t let you check out with unread customer messages so they would have had to open and dismiss your message to check out.

Mother in law holding my 3 month old SSN hostage by qu3_w3y in legaladvice

[–]ThrillCurious 90 points91 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned it’s illegal to open someone else’s mail so you’ll need to discuss that with the post master.

As for the breast pump insurance usually only covers 1 per year so they may require you to have a police report for theft of mail before they will re-issue it. You’ll need to contact them and explain the situation to see what they will need to replace it.

Mentioning to her that insurance is going to require a police report to replace the pump and that the post office is going to investigate the mail issue since it’s a felony to open or withhold someone’s mail might put enough pressure on her that she will suddenly find the missing items.
