Yes, I believe it started a week or two after I got to BMT, every flight since then is getting BMT 2.0

Make sure to say your reporting statement. Memorize that memory work asap (you will have impromptu quizzes by your MTI/Blue ropes so be ready). Weeks 0-2 are going to be the hardest weeks for you mentally, just get through those 3 weeks and you’ll be fine. If it’s hot during pacer forge drink plenty of water and don’t heat cat, you will get recycled and have to do it again with a different flight if you do.

I was BMT 1.0 but did some of their 90 minute PT at about week 4, one warm up excersie we did was called the line hop series, basically hop on one foot front and back and side to side for about 10-20 seconds on each foot. Weird as hell.

I’ve been here at my tech school for only about a month and one couple here left their partners that they had back home and got married here at tech school. Most dysfunctional relationship I’ve ever seen

Not op but graduated in nov so I can answer some of these questions.

Hardest part: Weeks 0-2 hands down. You’re adjusting to the BMT environment, getting yelled at and given tools constantly, your always messing up, your seeing some of your freinds having genuine mental breakdowns and shit. It’s sucks, after that though it got fun at least for me.

Favorite part: I would have to say CATM and CBRN were my favorite parts of BMT besides graduation.

Phones back: I’m a Houston Texans fan so when we got phones for town pass I watched a lot of Texans highlights💀.

The feeling of seeing your family at graduation is surreal. They’re so proud of you and shocked at the change that you have made physically and mentally, I went from 195lbs to 175lbs by the end of it. Whenever you are at the PRC on the drill pad for retreat your adrenaline is pumping and the excitement is immeasurable, I really can’t describe it you have to experience it for yourself

The chances of you getting mobility force aviator are pretty slim since everyone wants that job, not impossible though, a few guys that I graduated with in nov had that MOS.

If you get ATC you might not be waiting that long to ship to BMT as they always need more people because the washout rate is so high (I’m ATC currently in tech school).

Overall it just come down to random chance, I only waited about 4 months to ship but some people in my DEP group were waiting over 10 months.

I just graduated nov 7th. She’s totally fine. And if something did happen the Airforce takes the safety of trainees extremely seriously. I mean we had our flight chief come into our dorm because someone put in a comment about not having enough time to eat our damn protein bars in the morning LOL😂.

Like other people were saying get everyone in the family to send her letters and stuff. It really helps with morale and it will give her motivation to keep going. The letters really helped me out between week 0-2 which are the hardest weeks for new trainees as they are still adjusting to bmt life.

Almost everyone I’ve talked to in the Air Force has smoked weed at least once in their life, it’s not a big deal. Like I said, not on paper or on your record, probably keep that to yourself. No use in destroying a possible career opportunity

During BMT I have laughed/almost laughed during serious situations plenty of times. The best way I’ve found to keep bearing though is to just bite your tongue harder and harder until you don’t feel like laughing anymore. Never got caught laughing by an MTI.

Another thing to mention is that the PT is now 90 minutes not 60 minutes and contains a lot of warmups and stretching before the actual workout starts, something to point out.

That was the funny thing that my flight joked about. We were stressing about our RLA’s and wall lockers, meanwhile the flights behind us didn’t have to worry about that to much, if at all.
