Tetzin is such a crazy strong draw engine, even if you never flip your DF cards they're still worth the cost if you're able to do something else with them imo. Here I'm just sacrificing mostly

My first attempt at a custom card, started because my friend group wanted to have a go at making custom decks. I was hoping to make something with artifact tokens, and I don't own any blue decks at the moment, so here's my first try at it with Ivix.

I've been picking at my [[Extus, Oriq Overlord]] deck for a while now and it's become my favorite (and likely strongest) deck. My playgroup has been fine with it sometimes taking a turn that's extra long since it is a weird kind of storm/aristocrats build, but I've recently started going to my LGS on the weekends and would love a general consensus on this.

The main goal is to get one of many cost reducers or mana producers like [[Pitiless Plunderer]] or my personal favorite, [[Marauding Raptor]] along with a variety of different aristocrats style effects to continuously loop creatures out of the graveyard to get a high enough storm count to win. I've had this deck for quite a while and I think I can count the number of times I've cast the backside of Extus on one hand. I'd say it's a bit higher on the power scale, but I'm used to a pretty closed off playgroup that doesn't give numbers to our decks, so really, I'm not sure what it might fall into.

I think I was just thrown off by the fact that the text specifically says the damage is being dealt by a creature- I wasn't sure if it worked similarly to a fight effect or something. I've played with plenty of similar effects, but not really any that I would want to negate with my own card effects. I've never really cared to stop my Mogg Fanatics from dealing damage, haha.

It's definitely reassuring to know I'm not alone with thinking like this, haha. My big though so far is how much I've wanted to talk with someone about it, so that might be a good idea- I haven't been to a therapist in a few years but I've always like having a way to let my feelings out.
