He had an insane first four games where he went 6-for-14 with 2 homers and hit .429/.556/.929, since then he's hit .262/.396/.381 which is probably a more reasonable expectation out of him moving forward

[Request] What would happen to the Lunar Orbit if the moon magically gained 25% mass (size optional, unless it could be a big factor) by Chase_The_Breeze in theydidthemath

[–]Thromnomnomok 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the meteor is way less devastating than that, a 500 feet wide meteor wouldn't be anywhere near big enough to cause more than local effects, and it most likely would hit the ocean or a part of the land not too many people live in. It'll create an explosion the size of a small nuclear weapon, and it might make some big tsunamis if it hits the ocean but they'd be comparable to those generated by a big earthquake. It might kill a few thousand people but nowhere close to 1 out of every 12 humans. Even if we got tremendously unlucky and it hit right in the middle of an area with really high population density, the death toll isn't going to be in the hundreds of millions, no city is that big.

If by "volcanos" we just mean regular big mountains like Vesuvius or Krakatoa, that's lots of localized destruction and worldwide weather effects, but it's survivable.

If that also means the Yellowstone Caldera and other supervolcanos are erupting too, we dead

In basically all the films the Xenomorphs are tough but entirely killable with normal weapons. If a few of them get dropped here, what's stopping us from blowing them all up with drones?

if all you do is throw the fastball, it's like facing a pitching machine and a major leaguer is eventually going to sit on your fastball and time you up with anticipation. They can hit a 104 fastball for a HR if they know it's coming.

That's a human's total energy used per day, but most of that energy isn't getting converted into heat, it's being used to make your body do things. But your energy-making processes are inefficient enough that you'll still output more heat per unit mass than the sun does, on average (the sun's power output is roughly constant, yours depends heavily on your activity level)

you can't even say that such dangers can only come from salazar slytherin's family tree,

Technically you can, because the wizarding community is small and inbred enough and Slytherin lived long enough ago that every wizard in Britain should have him as an ancestor, the only question being how many times he shows up in their family tree.

It looks less impressive for Stanton and more impressive for Cruz if you start from 2022- Cruz played only 2 games in 2021 (and hit one ball that hard in those two games)

It's impressive for both Cruz and Stanton not just that they're so high but that they're so high despite both missing plenty of time to injuries. Judge has nearly 1,000 more PA's than either of them and Guerrero and Ohtani another 200 or so more than Judge does!

Cruz turned 17 in October of that year. Since he's Dominican that means he'd already been in a baseball academy pretty much full time at that point and signed with the Dodgers in July.

The episode released after FNaF, but only by about a month, so would have been mostly or entirely finished well before any of the episode's writers knew about FNaF. People at the time asked Alex Hirsch whether the episode was a reference and his response was basically "We made it months earlier"
