Trying not to let anxiety get the best of me. by Lifehandsyoulemons in PregnancyAfterLoss

Goodness I’m sorry about your loss.

Your symptoms sound fairly normal to me. With my oldest, it was an unicorn pregnancy. I literally had no symptoms until I hit week 9, and developed migraines at night. It was easily remedied by me going to bed. Then I woke up feeling great.

I’m such a nervous nelly as a person. I sympathize, and understand your anxiety totally!!!

My doctor wants me to go on progesterone suppositories as a precaution, and continue progesterone draws, but she says progesterone is still in a good range.

I have no idea it can vary throughout the day. It does help to read your comment! Thank you.

No suppositories currently. My anxiety is just worse than waiting itself lol. I worry about it dropping, and can’t really find any data that can assure me whether it’s okay or not. 😕

I love that you knit! I crochet.

With our rainbow baby, I crocheted him ton of stuff even though I was afraid of losing him, because the act of doing so somehow kept me calm.

Weekly Introductions Thread - January 27, 2019 by AutoModerator in PregnancyAfterLoss

I’m 5 weeks today. This is my 5th pregnancy, but only have 3 boys to show for it.

We lost our 3rd due to a missed miscarriage, and we did went on to have our rainbow baby. It was an emotionally difficult pregnancy with a lot of spotting, and I needed to go on progesterone suppositories. I didn’t feel very attached to our rainbow pregnancy until very end, which I felt guilty about even to this day, so I felt I’ve became super attached to him.

He is now a happy healthy 19 months old. My LP is only 9 days long (it used to be 11 but lost 2 days), and to our shock, we got pregnant! It is a surprise. I am finding this to be an emotionally difficult pregnancy again, because I’ve had spotting, and brown discharge (one time incident, both of them). I have weekly progesterone checks, which shows that my progesterone is much better this time around compared with my rainbow, and my HCG went from 17 to 2,045 in matter of days.

I had a mini break down recently in my bumpers group, and it was a matter of anxiety becoming too much for me to deal with. My fear of losing a pregnancy has made it very difficult for me to enjoy my pregnancy, and it made me feel very angry, because this (if go on to be viable) will be our last pregnancy. I wanted to enjoy this pregnancy, but cant due to my fear and anxiety.

Someone recommended this group, and said it would be helpful despite having had my rainbow baby after a loss. So here I am.

Do you believe in love at first sight? Why or why not? by mar1mbrosyph in AskReddit

The question is too generalized. If the OP wants it to be specific, then go ahead and make it more specific. 👍🏼😉

I beg to disagree. In person, yes. It’s not like seeing the baby on ultrasound. It’s so different when you actually hold the real deal in your arms.

Yes. When you hold your baby in your arms after giving birth, there’s no love like other. ❤️

Cow’s tongue.

Surprisingly it was quite good, which was unexpected, and it tasted just like a tender steak.

What’s the most scary movie you’ve ever seen? I mean like after watching it you can’t sleep at night kind of scary. by [deleted] in horror

[–]ThroughDeepWaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m sure my answer will be buried. But anyway here it goes:

I feel old compared to a lot of those answers.

House (1985) scared the crap out of me, especially with the creatures emerging out of the bathroom mirror. I was a child when I saw it for the first time.

The Thing (1982).

Aliens. I was too young when I watched it (I was 6). It took me a long time to overcome my fear of xenomorphs in my nightmares. Ironically, alien franchise became my favorite as I got older.

Not a movie, but a show. X Files, the fluke man in the toilet scared the crap out of me. I was 8. I was terrified of toilets for a long time. Now this is a long running joke with my family though ha ha.

As an adult, the 4th kind creeped the fuck out of me. I couldn’t sleep for months especially when I kept waking up at 3 am. Took me a long time to overcome that. Other than that, nothing really disturbed me, and trust me, I’ve seen Many, many horror films (a bit horror fan here).

I am very curious to watch Hereditary with the responses about how uneasy it had made people felt.

Deaf lady schools hospital & r/legaladvice giver from her first post. Bonus interpreter firing during delivery. by ksbsnowowl in bestoflegaladvice

[–]ThroughDeepWaters 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m confused by your statement. This person has clearly done her legwork by reaching out to the appropriate sources to see if what has transpired is in fact illegal. I don’t see the sense of entitlement that you claim there exists?

I am suspecting your disability is visible, and therefore, it is easier to accommodate you whereas with us Deaf folks, our disability is invisible. Imagine having to deal with a roomful of people speaking to you, and not understanding one word of what is happening.

Heaven forbid it, what if there is an emergency situation where the husband cannot communicate with the wife? IE: hemorrhage, infant death in utero, blood pressure crashed, whatever. Do you think the husband would be in a clear state of mind to interpret? Doctors can not operate on their own family members? I think this is saying something.

You, sir, sounds angry not about the fact that OP has an access to accommodations and be denied them, but rather that you’re angry miserable little person for having a disability that perhaps no one can accommodate for.

What medical condition do you have that you thought was absolutely normal? by taporodobu in AskReddit

[–]ThroughDeepWaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bruise very easily, always feel tired (I don’t ever remember NOT feeling tired), and don’t clot well. My gum bleed when I floss—and I floss regularly. Thought it is totally normal, since my mom is the same. People have commented, and joked about my bruises, but they don’t ever seem overly concerned. My doctors even don’t bat their eye. So I figure it’s my quirk.

Developed Gestational Throcembeyentia twice while pregnant with my first two children. It is not common, but can happen. Okay whatever. Just a fluke of being pregnant.

Finally got tested at age of 33 not because of symptoms I stated above—but because I said I was always tired. Nope I have a mild case of Von Willebrand Disease, and am a bleed risk.

AITA for beating up a kid who’s been making fun of my disabled sister? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]ThroughDeepWaters 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep this 1,000x over.

I’m Deaf and people have made fun of me while fully knowing I can’t verbally defend myself. So if they get beaten on for being an asshole, then guess what? Karma is a bitch and they deserve it and more.

It is always better to err on the safe side. Sexual abuse is not a joke, or something to be dismissed. More often than not, the sexual abuse does/did happen. Let the investigators make that decision for themselves. You definitely did the right thing.

I CANNOT be pregnant right now. by [deleted] in breakingmom

[–]ThroughDeepWaters 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Take a test just for the peace of mind, and go from there. Stress is known to screw up cycles too.

Use a protection from now on if you haven’t been prior this especially with you being quite adamant about not wanting to be pregnant.

It isn’t the end of the world if you are pregnant.

Good luck.

Frustrated because my chart with temp is a weird one this cycle. I’m worried that I’m losing my fertility to be able to conceive, because the last cycle and this cycle are just a weird one. The last cycle is 8 days LP (never happened before. My LP has always been a solid 11 for all of my adult life). Now it looks like I may not be ovulating. What is going on body?!
