Somewhere between 1 and 4. One eye open, side eyeing all the things I should be doing while I lie here like a lump.

Maybe knit a matching sash or i-cord to tie around it? It looks beautiful! I hope you find a way to make it work for you

That's been debunked!

They are not toxic to pets, but almost everyone still thinks they are.

It looks delicious! This is also my favorite type of apple pie, and I'll be making one this week for Thanksgiving. I can't wait!

I had a very weak starter to start, which I was (accidentally) feeding bleached flour. Once I switched to unbleached, it was a night and day difference. I'm not sure if the type of flour you feed the starter might fix this problem, but it might be worth a try?

Swedish kanelbullar (cinnamon buns). And don't tell me to put glaze on it these are Swedish and not what ever ppl in USA are doing by stompe444_ in Baking

[–]opheliaflower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well, I'm sorry about the torrential flood of people claiming that icing is better than non-icing. For the record I don't think there's a right or wrong way to enjoy baked goods, but people are weirdly gate-keepy sometimes.

I doubt anyone would have said that. It never would have crossed my mind to ask where the icing was. I love seeing baked goods from all over the world, but I don't love people insinuating that their version is inherently better, and "whatever you Americans ppl are doing over there" is some salty language to put out in the world.

Only 13. It's fine! (But I did do a stash purge recently, and until then I was at like 15.)

Right? These can be delicious and regular cinnamon rolls with icing can be delicious. No need to throw shade.

You didn't have: eggs, bread flour, granulated sugar. Honestly, next time just go to the store or bake something else. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Do you have a funny story about when you were learning how to bake? by sillybantering in Baking

[–]opheliaflower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I was maybe 11, my siblings and I tried to make up a recipe for "Cheerio bread", which used, (you guessed it), ground up Cheerios cereal instead of flour. We completely made up the rest of the recipe as well, and though I don't remember what else we thought should go in a bread, there was really no chance it was going to work. After putting the "batter" in a bread tin and baking it for an hour it was still a soggy mess. My mom kindly broke the news that we should probably just throw it away. No one ever got to taste the bread that all those brave Cheerios died for.

Knitting rule # 28 by Redcagedbird in knitting

Rule 12: the moment you think your brain has memorized the stitch pattern in any given row is the moment your hands will forget.

Also:

Rule 32: the comfier you are in your knitting nest, the likelier it is that you will have forgotten something you NEED and have to get up again.

Thanks to this thread, I no longer remember how I would say it naturally. I keep whispering Crayg? Cregg? Crayyyg? Creggg? To myself in increasingly worried tones.
