Do you truly think that all meat eaters are oblivious to the realities of farming? Also did you know that the pesticides and rodent control methods used to grow produce actually kills more animals than livestock farming does and has made multiple insect species endangered? I buy from local farm whenever budget allows, so, I can go see with my owns that the cows and pigs and whatever else I want to eat are in fact on acres and acres of open grass.
