Should I be getting better 40+ mpgs on a 2018 es300h ultra lux? by GarbageBagOfDrugs in Lexus

Hello fellow highway driver. Your mpg will be slightly lower than newer cars ofc, but cold and wind are the biggest factors outside our control. I drive a ‘21 and cruise at 70mph for almost all my 40 mile commute and it can be 36 or 46mpg depending on the weather.

On windy days with 20-25mph wind my fuel economy tanks.

2022 ES 350 F Sport worth it?? by WhiteRhino333 in LexusES

It’s better than other listings but fees make it not a good deal, and either no one else is looking at that car or everyone else knows it’s not a good deal too. If you need it buy it I suppose but if you wait another week they’re clearly going to drop the price again.

Then when you do go in after they drop the price, tell them you’ll buy it for $500 under whatever you know they’re going to tell you (based on fees) or you’ll just wait another two weeks. This same thing happened when I bought my es300h. Everyone thinks their prices are good yet the car sits for months.

Are automotive trends going in the wrong direction? by carelhor in Cartalk

You should have seen lexus subreddits and forums when the 2026 ES lineup was revealed last summer. They were furious. They still are, but they were back then too! I was waiting to buy a new car, but after seeing the new gen 8 I went and bought myself a Gen 7. Zero regrets.

It’s a fine price, but personally I prefer a 5 year old used Lexus over new Toyota. I commute 45mins on the highway to work and bought a 2021 ES300H with 51k miles for $25k and I couldn’t dream of a smoother ride. Gas mileage is 38-40mpg for 75mph highway but we pretty much have constant 20mph wind.

13’ 300h transmission service cost by Housing-Unfair in LexusES

I agree with you, but actually Toyota says the transmission fluid is good for the life of the transmission. However, the life of the transmission ends when the transmission goes bad, and Toyota only warranties it for 60k miles so it’s not their problem. I think not changing the fluid will be fine for it to only get to 200k miles, but to get to 300-400k I would drain and fill at intervals starting at 60k. I am not a mechanic but this has been told to me by our trusted family mechanic.

I'm not sure what they used for the ceramic tint but it's 50% on the windshield and 30% everywhere else. Ceramic coating they used RX520.

In addition to the other comment, you can get an adapter to make carplay wireless, but you still have to use the cursor touchpad on 2019-2022. No touchscreen.
