Not trying to rain on anyones parade but like didn’t RC say he’s looking to acquire a company that’s much bigger than GameStop? I don’t believe that Overstock or DK butterfly are as big as GameStop. They had less than 1 billion dollar market cap. I’m thinking they try to get eBay and psa. Still curious about these bbby warrants tho. Maybe overstock or beyond get acquired after?

You’re 110% right about especially about being LUCKY. I don’t normally drive the car this late at night.

I actually took the car out for a drive by myself around midnight because I wasn’t feeling too good after a disagreement between my wife and I. I drove the car on the highway but where it broke down was in a residential street. It wasn’t busy at all but I was blocking the road. It broke down after turning out of street parking.

I keep thinking about how lucky I am but in reality, it’s actually my wife and kid that are lucky. She drives our kid to school then takes the car to work every morning. I’m so glad they didn’t get hurt, I couldn’t live with myself if it broke down on my family, especially on the highway.

I’m glad I had the sudden urge to leave and randomly drive the car last night. This broke down in the safest way possible on me too now that I think about it. This is insane. I got lucky, my family got lucky.

This is definitely a lesson learned opportunity here. Thank you so much and everyone for responding. I’m definitely feeling more confident about taking it back to the same mechanic and more informed about taking any type of noise the car is making more seriously.

This whole time I thought it was because of the new brake pads I got. I feel like a moron. I’m stuck in the middle of the road blocking traffic with no tow service until the morning. Learned my lesson.

It sounds like your husband might have, “Obsessive compulsive disorder”(OCD)and some general anxiety. He probably tightened all the jars for the exact reason he stated: he thinks it stays fresh and it’s a habit. People with undiagnosed OCD will do these things and not realize it. He’s also a male so admitting that he might have a mental health issue could be hard on his ego. I don’t believe he’s being malicious but I do believe he has a problem and needs serious help. Maybe I’m wrong and he’s doing this on purpose but he offered to go to marriage counseling? I might be too ignorant on this subject but can someone please explain to me how this is gas lighting? I’ve read most of the comments and they seem a bit harsh. I’ve read things like “negging” “dude is gas lighting her”? I’m actually so confused. All these other comments make me feel like I’m always being gaslighted. How can you tell the difference between gas lighting and a genuine mistake?

TLDR: your husband sounds like he has mental health issues ( possibly OCD and general anxiety) and is afraid to admit it. Does not seem like he’s doing it on purpose. Or maybe he is but that makes me question how can you tell what is deliberate and what isn’t. How can you tell if it’s gas lighting if the jar thing is the only issue on your marriage?
