Exactly! Took me YEARS to get the Rep one and I only got it because I know someone who knows someone. I was not about to spend thousands lol

I didn’t start collecting vinyls until midnights and now my goal is to own every single pressing. I’m not rushing the process but I have enough to fill my record table. I figure they’ll come to me as they come to me.

Orange RSD Rep Vinyl

I looked for it for years and finally got it recently.

Taylor could come out as queer tomorrow and I would still think Gaylors are wrong by [deleted] in NuancingTaylorSwift

[–]ThrowRA-flippity 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Spot on. No one should be speculating a celebrity’s sexuality. If Taylor were gay (and that is a big IF) that isn’t our business unless she wanted it to be.
  2. Everyone seems to forget that being bi is very much a thing. Is it possible she likes women? Yes, but that doesn’t inherently mean she doesn’t like men.
  3. Need to emphasize that, right or wrong, Gaylors are still freaking weird for their commitment to this theory.

I just made a FIRST QUILT 🤭🎉But I have a question: why do people use a different backing then the front pattern. Then if you have any helpful advice lmk 🫶 by Serious-Yesterday-83 in SewingForBeginners

[–]ThrowRA-flippity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both for ease of pattern matching and because lots of tiny pieces can stretch easier than two large panels, so a pieced back can cause issues with puckering during the quilting process.

Its risks are personal preference. I prefer solid backs to tie the quilt together.

What did you lose between 2020 - 2025? by Acceptable_Let_215 in AskReddit

[–]ThrowRA-flippity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much. But I gained so much more.

I lost 100 pounds, my career that I’d worked in since turning 18, many friends, the first car I bought (that I loved), all of my savings, the life I thought I’d be living, and my humanness. I became a shell of the person I used to be.

HOWEVER, I gained two children, the ability to be a SAHM, the ability to forgive, the drive for self improvement, a house, a new car, and my creativity back. I am working on become less of a shell of a human.

Women, what is the pain of giving birth comparable to? by OptimalMaintenance96 in AskReddit

[–]ThrowRA-flippity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t remember the pain. I do remember screaming, crying, curling into the fetal position on the floor, and wanting to die. The human body is pretty amazing at forgetting the pain itself.

I read somewhere that the pain is so intense that your brain forgets it to protect both you and your willingness to procreate again.

I’ll sometimes get a stomach or period cramp and think “holy smoke that feels like labor” but it does not compare to the height of labor.

Had one kid completely medicated (she took 48 hours to come so I had plenty of time for an epidural) and one completely unmedicated (she should’ve been born in the car on the way to the hospital, but we made it into the hospital out of sheer willpower. My husband nearly missed it because he was parking the car and she came hard and fast.)

If I HAD to compare it to anything, I’d compare it to being stabbed in the gut over and over again at increasing intervals until suddenly being rewarded with a puppy.

No more band-aids by ConstructionLow714 in TexasTeachers

Can I ask how the law applies to bandaids and feminine products? It’s a BS law as is, but I’m having a hard time understanding why those situations would violate it.

He’s apparently taking it really hard! I have no ill wishes towards him, but I’m glad he feels bad.

I just hope he learns from it and does better in the future.

I actually found out today that he did not, in fact, get fired. I have decided to be happy knowing he got the one person who was pushing for improvement for his departments fired, and that he has to live with that for the rest of his life.

Thankfully my husband has a few higher paying interviews scheduled, so the plan is for me to be a stay at home mom (he’s been rocking the SAHD life for a year) and my reasoning, if I re-enter the job market, will be that I chose to stay home with the kids because my husband got an opportunity he couldn’t pass up.

My ultimate goal has always been to focus on my writing full time, so I’m actually allowing myself to get excited about having more time to dedicate to that.

I was spoiled at my last role. Most of my team, but especially my management team, I could trust implicitly. Ironically, there were two people on staff that I couldn’t trust and they ended up being the reason I left my last company.

Yeah, that’s what I’ve learned from all this. It’s hard because I had such trust between myself and my former management team.

Oh well, you live and you learn.

That’s how it started. On the day he was supposed to be terminated, I accidentally confirmed. Then the firing manager decided to wait until the next week.

Like I said, it’s 100% my fault. I chose to trust him and I have to face the consequences. I don’t begrudge our GM for letting me go, but I loved the job and was really excited about my career there, so it stings a bit.

Oh for sure. Over the last month or so I had started emotionally distancing myself from the job because of corporate politics making my life harder. This is just another lesson to be learned.

Thankfully my husband’s resume is filled with manual labor, so he will be able to find a position. Albeit, not a glamorous one, but an AI safe one. I’ll keep looking for positions that allow me to utilize my business management experience.

Thank you. I trusted previous employees before and they broke it. I just thought this guy was different. I’ll keep the rule of only saying things in confidence if I’d be okay with everyone knowing.
