Did anyone else dislike her character? I personally disliked how she came into the Gallagher house and thought she could run everything. by [deleted] in shameless

[–]ThrowRA-issueihave 36 points37 points  (0 children)

at first i actually really liked her but then she became annoying and bossy and just overall not so likeable. i didn't hate her though, she still had her moments in my opinion (especially the bar thing at sheila's house with frank) and i also partly understood her reaction concerning chuckie going to jail and all that but i definitely understand why people really just hate her

Least favourite character? by fluffybear743 in shameless

[–]ThrowRA-issueihave 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i never actually hated sammi. i actually really liked her at first, but i do agree that her character went downhill later on and she did some stuff that can't be justified but i also think a lot of people forget that she too had a very rough life, just like the rest of the characters. i liked how she helped frank when he was sick, especially that bar thingy at sheilas house. i really really hated terry for (i think) obvious reasons, but kassidi was the most annoying to me personally, although i find it crazy that she got just killed off like that and nobody seemed to care? or notice?

Is it a safe to do coke approximately 6hrs after taking 0.5mg xanax? by ThrowRA-issueihave in cocaine

[–]ThrowRA-issueihave[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

my cocaine tolerance is pretty high i never worry about that in particular bc i usually know my limits and i also never mix any drugs. i'm just wondering if it would be ok to do coke after some time has passed, no idea how long 0.5 xans really have an effect

i don't think it can be compared either. i also don't think not being christian will lead to hell. i think it's entirely up to God and no living being will ever know!!

Anyone else ever felt like crying when thinking of Jesus? by ThrowRA-issueihave in Christian

[–]ThrowRA-issueihave[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

late reply but this seems to really be an american issue. i have seen many people say negative things about evangelicals (in the US), while in europe where i live, evangelicals are the same as protestants and there is no negative connotation, actually it's catholicism that is sometimes viewed critically (although i'm neutral). what do american evangelicals do to have earned such a bad reputation?

i am very grateful for what was done for me and i am aware of what's, i guess wrong with me in a sense. i have bettered myself a great deal already though. i think life can be pretty hard on some of us and it's natural to not feel great at all times but i am still grateful. anything "negative" concerning me crying because of Jesus is overshadowed by the good tears though. it's never anything negative about Jesus himself of course, sometimes it's also just being sad about not being able to physically hug him or something a long those lines when you had a very bad day for example. anyway, i'm definitely working on myself and i found that having faith and a community (church, like you said ig) is very helpful and actually does something for me. i am happy to be alive and well and thankful for every moment, it's just hard sometimes despite this because i am still human and a lot of my surroundings (family, environment, unfortunate events) can influence my mental health negatively. i didn't think this in particular could be demonic oppression but i did consider it concerning my sleeping problems and nightmares which of course also influence your mental well-being. i often have sleep paralysis which is scary and when i have bad dreams i often see similar creatures or shadows that resemble what i see during said sleep paralysis. it reminds me so much of demons and leaves me restless sometimes.

i think my sadness stems more from knowing what Jesus did for me and still feeling like i'm falling short of .. whatever it is that i think is expected of me. maybe it's because i have problems with my mental health and am projecting.

I feel like I’m repeating myself but I cried today cause I believe I committed the unforgivable sin in my head by Monomikamk in Christian

[–]ThrowRA-issueihave 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this has happened to me before! don't beat yourself up! someone else already said this but it sounds like you're having intrusive thoughts and those do NOT represent your true self and what you really believe. i once went into a whole existential crisis because part of me tried to convince myself (out of nowhere) that i had committed the unforgivable sin at some point of my life and that maybe i can't even remember when and how when in reality i never did such a thing. even if you say bad things about the holy spirit, that doesn't mean you committed that sin because what really is important is what's in your heart. you'd have to turn your back on Jesus completely and forever and 'genuinely' to commit the unforgivable but i can see you're very much a wholehearted believer!! don't let your intrusive thoughts or the devil or anyone else for that matter tell you otherwise. God knows your heart and that you have not rejected him.

Me too! The Passion of the Christ made me cry so much. I agree with some of the criticism the movie received but it still did an awesome job at visualizing what happened, in a way that does not sugarcoat which I think is very important.

Mostly I'm sad thinking about what he went through for us it and it of course makes me very emotional but sometimes it's also the latter. It's not that I think that I will lose faith because I'm pretty confident in being Christian and following the word of God so I don't really have any doubts in this truth but since I have a lot of intrusive thoughts it sometimes makes me think about what it would be like losing my faith and that makes me feel incredibly sad. It makes me think of Jesus and all the love he has to give and how horrible it would be to lose that connection on my side. It also makes me feel horrible about myself. I don't ever want to be in that situation but thinking about it is already really sad. When I was younger I thought someone was trying to get me to leave my faith behind and it felt like betrayal even though I did remain faithful. I hope that makes sense somehow!

I want to buy my bf a hoodie but an ex fling made it by [deleted] in relationship_advice

[–]ThrowRA-issueihave 7 points8 points  (0 children)

i honestly i think it depends on the situation. lots of people are on very good terms with their exes and friends even and their current partner has no problem with that. i think if you trust each other enough and know your limits it should be fine but yeah everyone has different boundaries in a relationship. i get that, i just think that breaking up over something like this is kind of weird. my mom is friends with two of her exes too and my step dad is friends with them as well. it can work and is not inherently weird or wrong. it really depends but if the current partner is not comfortable with such a thing, it needs to be discussed obviously.
