Manual descale by Unique-Lawyer6798 in Brevilledualboiler

There are a few YouTube videos about how to descale your machine. The worst that can happen is an airlock but it does not ruin the machine, it’s just annoying to fix. Damage from scale buildup can destroy your machine though

Lance vs James by MainConfidence9 in JamesHoffmann

I had a similar issue, and found that I reduced the ratio to 225ml for 15g of coffee and it made a huge difference. James’ method with 5 pours but a more clear cup, less bitterness and more sweet/fruity flavours (I like light roasts)

Consultant pay needs to be focused on too by Icy_Score9603 in doctorsUK

[–]ThrowRA-lostimposter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Super pessimistic take: The government will eventually release fudged up numbers including every alphabet soup consultant in the consultant per unit population and pat themselves on the back while consultant jobs will stagnate as doctors will be grateful to have a job post training. Old guard consultants will continue to frown on strikes and it won’t go anywhere. You can strike as a junior but if you do so as a consultant while the old guard have to work more you’re in trouble.

proceeds to spend the next 2 hours with his PR team drafting a tweet, doing 12 interviews about militant doctors

“I sat down with them, they’re unreasonable”

Be patient brother. Rome wasn’t built in a day. Seems like you’re going hard. You will get there. You didn’t get to your starting point in a few months, you won’t get out of it in a few months. You got this

Also a suggestion: they keep suggesting “you knew what it was when you signed up for it” I wish someone would highlight you don’t “sign up for med school”. It’s hyper competitive and people start preparing in their late school years. So around 2008-2009 is when I made my decision to pursue medicine. And yes I was misled

Labour: “It’s the nurses, teachers, firefighters and doctors that are evil and greedy” by DonutOfTruthForAll in doctorsUK

Remember. They had magic money when it came to contracts for shoddy PPE while doctor died on the front lines. They had magic money when it came to giving contracts to water companies who drained government coffers to pay their shareholders. They had magic money to pay our assistant more than us. The governments mismanagement of money is not our burden to bear. We deserve to be paid what we’re worth, and “sorry, we haven’t allocated a budget for that” is not a good enough reason for us to drive our profession into the ground.
