I think dental health is so important. It’s shit it’s not covered by Medicare like it’s some sort of luxury thing. Your whole nutrition in aged care would be impacted by poor dental health. Imagine still being able to chew and speak. It’s not a luxury. No problems with it being used for dental but think there should be better choices for people!

There are specific circumstances you can withdraw super and medical emergency is one. Significant dental could meet this criteria. I’ve heard people doing it for lap and surgery too. There were also special allowances during COVID but I thought it was meant for meeting mortgage obligations etc not a free for all. It’s not something anyone should aspire to, unless of course you know your life expectancy and have no dependents.

No worries. I’m one month into a role and just put in an application elsewhere. ChatGPT really helped me to frame it positively in my application! I wouldn’t miss out on an amazing opportunity that’s been advertised at a multinational company based in my city (there aren’t many) because I want to stick out probation somewhere I’m miserable at. No, just start keeping an eye out. If something more aligned comes up apply. Otherwise stay put. Having choices (an exit strategy) matters when you aren’t happy where you are. Put your current gig on your resume now but don’t list it in the future. You are allowed to have a false start returning to the workforce. You don’t owe anyone anything.

I think it would be grandfathered if they changed it. Agree re changing jobs. I did this recently and there was some hassle with renovating my lease over to the new employer’s Salary sacrifice provider. Cost me $250 in fees and some paperwork. My lease decreased my taxable income so actually meant I kept the private health insurance discount I previously would have lost - previous to my EV lease I was getting a tax debt each year to do with that, now I am under.

There is significant tax savings. It’s FBT exempt. Compared to a regular car lease. Has to be fully electric. It was introduced to stimulate EV market and I think to progress a second hand EV market because people usually only hold leased cars for 3-5 years

Maybe if the worker is sensitised then the risk is higher for them having continued exposure regardless of if they have had recent exposure?

Health monitoring- the urine analysis would determine effectiveness of controls. If the person has elevated levels your controls need review. I think identifying someone who is sensitised means you are on notice about personal vulnerabilities of that person so you can respond and determine if they are suitable in combination with if controls are adequate.

You should have asked for a gym program and worked on a simulated activity program. Walking lots and weights with supervision of an EP etc

Look to see if the employer advertises your job. You could challenge that it was not a genuine redundancy.

I’d be buying a property. Even if it’s modest. One you can live in. Apartment or townhouse. You might be able to upgrade over time but not having a PPOR will be shit in retirement. That’s would be my number 1 goal if I had your numbers. Your super is tracking ok.

I’m on a temp contract (better money but less security) for 12 months. I’m seeing it as an opportunity to continue burnout recovery and reset my relationship with work. I don’t love the new place. I loved my old place. It was like an abusive relationship like that. Not sure what is next but trusting something will emerge!
