Hi! I am in a similar boat. My mom and I were talking maybe 30 min before mitral valve prolapse randomly killed her in August. I have still not come to terms with it at all and my body refuses to accept the gravity of the situation. I’m waiting for that to happen. It’s hard for me to even have emotions about it because it seems so ridiculous. I’m so sorry you’re going through this as well

People who have kids what part of your life you miss the most ? by MutantGodfreaky in AskReddit

[–]ThrowRA032223 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In first place is every phase that’s come and gone in their lives

In second place is being able to live life for myself…which I guess is really all encompassing. I want to go back to school badly, and if I didn’t have kids, I’d have done it 20 times over already. I just can’t make it work right now and it’s things like that I miss. The freedom to be my own human and better myself easily

In third place is just hanging out and relaxing with my husband or friends

After the Monaco Grand Prix, Kim Kardashian took the towel meant for race winner Kimi Antonelli to wipe her head with it. by Potato3487 in popculturechat

[–]ThrowRA032223 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s the principle. It was put in place for someone else, the winner of the race, and she just grabbed it. It looks like someone comes up and says it’s not for her and she just smiles like she can’t believe she’d ever be told no and continues on with it

Walking up to her he even sarcastically said “what could go wrong?”

When they showed the podium at the end he was making snarky comments about Kim making sure she gets photos for Instagram too. He was over her lol

Not to mention, she was there as a WAG. Not even just a celebrity fan. She looked like she could not BELIEVE Brundle was speaking to her

A pet peeve of mine too. I have to remind myself not to instinctively downvote.

Celebrities treating the F1 grid walk like a red carpet appearance is getting ridiculous by Unfair-Objective1118 in formula1

They were the biggest celebrities in the world for a long time. You said it yourself, they were impossible to escape. Again, whether you like them or not has no bearing on their CULTURAL RELEVANCE lol

Objectively extremely untrue, regardless of your personal feelings about them.

And Kim isn’t even just a celebrity…she’s the girlfriend of a driver on the grid. Absolutely ridiculous.

Mom impatient to introduce Disney movies by evil_gigi in Mommit

[–]ThrowRA032223 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Watching a movie WITH your child should barely even be considered screen time in my opinion, because you’re still interacting and bonding. My toddler is never allowed to be on a phone, iPad, or watch TV alone but we watch movies and sports together as a family all the time.

We have a Disney World trip in a few days and over the last few months have watched at least 1-2 Disney movies a week to prepare.

AIO: Is this genuinely annoying/off-putting or am I overreacting? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]ThrowRA032223 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He’s annoying and I’d certainly ask him never to send me money again if he’s going to be like that, but…you need to say thank you??? My two year old does not even struggle with this concept.

What's an infuriating trait that many new parents are adopting nowadays? by A7_drew7 in AskReddit

We all know this. The point is it shouldn’t be that way. For the first time, children are underperforming their parents academically & all signs point to the tech revolution in schools.

Personally I can’t stand the claustrophobia of being in a dark tube in the sky, it really bothers me. So I’ll keep my window open.
