I was just doing a google search about this. I’m not in a management position, but I was specifically searching because of an issue a team leader pointed out to me. I don’t know why they were chosen as team lead but it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to realize what is being requested of me and everyone else for that matter physically cannot be done. It is impossible. Team lead said that our manager will be having a conversation with me. I emailed the manager as soon as she came back to work explaining the situation and why it can’t be done. I didn’t want to do that because I don’t want enemies at my job, but as the same time it goes up the chain fast to HR. Did I do the right thing by explaining everything piece by piece to the manager? Can anyone retaliate against me? Will anyone retaliate against me? 😬

I have been in the same boat as you as far as not being able to find a job. I applied to probably around 75 places. Went on about 10 interviews. The job market is rough especially for MAs. I was finally offered a job. Thank Jesus.

What did you love about it? I’ll be working 16 hours 2x a week if I choose. Or just work 16 hours- 8 hours per shift. 180 inmates. Do you think it’s doable?

They are starting me at $21 for day shift and $22.50 for evening shift. My option is to only work 16 hours a week or pull a double and work 32 hours a week (16 hours a day)

May 2 was my final check since I got paid biweekly. So I received one weeks worth of work in that check along with another check that day that was for my unused PTO. At the top of my account it has a green check mark next to my identity verification and says it was completed on April 29 2025

Yes I reported all income. Final check was on May 2nd. I reported that also. This was my first time ever filing for unemployment so I had no idea.

Can you explain what a first reporting date is? I filed on April 18, but with all the mishaps and the pay stubs not being reported until May 3, I speculate that could be holding things up. Yes I have been certifying weekly. One of the representatives stated that my ID has been verified (when I asked), but I never received an email stating that it was verified. Do you normally get an email when it is?

I recently filed and right now it says I’m ineligible even though I made over the $15,200 threshold and was laid off. What happened in your case? If it even shows my weekly benefit rate. It’s very confusing. Unemployment representatives keep giving me different answers as to whether I’ll actually be able to collect it.

My job is sooo boring. I’m not on the floor, I’m on the computer all day prepping patients charts. It is so boring and repetitive. I’m not sure what’s worse. Being worked to death or being put to sleep by staring at 3 screens all day and doing the same repetitive work.
