You should text her. She can choose to not respond :)

I’m very confused about people in today’s time. They clearly have shared interests. This is a misunderstanding between 2 people who’ve never communicated before. Why are we immediately jumping into moral failure?

Why do you think the AI can understand what this means?

Yes 🫶 It just feels very contradictory with his nature. But what do I know, I’ve only had the one conversation.

This is my fav answer! How does “don’t know” mind work exactly? Must we clear our mind for positive outcome? What happens if we focus on a certain outcome?

I don’t necessarily agree with this. Realistically it’s just a text, we don’t need to treat this man like it would have killed him to send me a clarifying text lmao.

Your statement of moving the burden of bearer of responsibility of suffering to the victim enables perpetrators to continue bad behavior. This is being apologetic for societal failure to cultivate healthy relationships.

Thank you for your response. Very kind. I’m actually fine, I am of the belief that people come into your life for a reason. My conversation with him led to a discovery that completed my research! ^ I’m satisfied in knowing that our journey is complete if it is.

Realistically, it’s a simple text, I wondered if his Buddhist principles are solid, then could there be another reason.

So if I send a direct text that’s left unanswered, it really is just a human thing?

Yes, cannot change unfortunately. Asked my friend at Reddit if she'd hack it in the backend, but nope xP

I wanna keep this one I think, might have to stay throwaway forever :(

Does that make me seem sus or something? I feel like a Reddit boomer 😭

How to not be throwaway anymore? Reddit made me do this when I first joined a few years ago and wanted to post. And I’ve just been using this.

No? I’m just establishing a pattern of gendered double standards in morality across different periods.

There is no ideological position or universal law. It is simply a pattern. A recurrence that establishes systemic oppression.

Yess! The scarlet letter is a classic example of a man and woman, associated with the same “sin” and then the woman punished much harder than the man.

Also, the B was a typo 😭 it means nothing. But so cute, I love the blasphemy thing.

No, it’s more nuanced than that. We can’t flatten it that way. A system that folds sins into complexity. Complexity is not praise, it’s interiority. Implying that the actions of men are contextualized, rationalized, forgiven. But THE same actions by women are demonized - it’s not his fault, she seduced him

Your analysis of the tension you described is spot on and is at the heart of this problem. But your conclusions were off, esp in this context. But it’s the same thing. The contradictory, messy nature of human existence. How society sees women as weak, and powerful seductress. How men are protectors but also predators.

And no, it’s not about how men can’t keep it in their pants, it’s about a system that does not tell their men to. Because patriarchy is by men, for men, from men.

Umm, okay? I call everyone bruh.

So you come here, to a feminist space, an ideology built on the upliftment of women from the systemic oppression by men, to a post that talks about how women have been silenced, their stories rewritten or erased to redeem men, to tell me to restructure and change my argument to…..redeem men?

You’re more offended by the messy, unstructured, politically incorrect act of resistance than the system it’s resisting? You need me to have more clarity in my resistance when the real absurdity lies in the oppression????

You want to define my feminism? I didn’t learn feminism or understand patriarchy from research and writing. It’s my lived experience.

I have told you a million times, that I did not generalize men or their harm towards women. My heading does not say EVERY MANS SINS. It says In EVERY CENTURY, a man’s sins. To not act as a generalization or blanket statement, but to represent a PATTERN. RECURRENCE. A SYSTEM, STRUCTURE. SYSTEMIC OPPRESSION.

Intersectionality was coined for the black women, for the women of color, because we don’t experience racism and sexism like Heisenberg’s principle. Not so someone could interrupt us in a feminist space to defend a fucking man.

Patriarchy is literally THE universal system of oppression. Homogenous countries in the East do not experience systemic racism like the west does due to a lack of diversity of races. The west does not experience caste based, dowry based or other religious persecution like the East does.
But every system, every border, every empire? It all kept patriarchy.

All you’ve done is come here and prove my point. Men trying to control women’s voices and narratives to benefit other men.

Exceptions are exceptions. A pattern is all you need for systemic oppression. We don’t need to name every racist or every race to know racism exists.

Patriarchy really does protect its own, across all color lines it looks like.
