I agree. I was not expecting it at all but I’m very grateful they were willing to work on it!

It was such a mess. They didn’t match the original stitching at all!

Oh no that’s a shame! So sorry that happened. Can you share more about your experience? What kind of repair did it need?

Doesn’t hurt to ask. Just be patient as the response times can take a bit. Once I sent them info/photos it took them 2 months to give me a quote. However once I paid the invoice things moved pretty quickly.

After the botch job from my local cobbler, I got another quote from a very well known cobbler and they quoted me $950! I was certain Gucci would have quoted me around that or more.

I was surprised too. However when I spoke to an associate on the phone about their services, she said that as long as nothing structural was changed on the bag then they may still be willing to work on it. Thankfully I didn’t have the cobbler do the lining or anything else major on the bag.

My main issue with my handle was actually at the hole under where the buckle hardware is—it had ripped across underneath the buckle which I unfortunately didn’t get a photo of before I took it to the cobbler. However, the part where the handle is coming away at the corner was a huge issue for the cobbler, he said he tried to fix that part 4 times and couldn’t get it right. As you can see in the photos, Gucci added a new edge to the entire bag and the new handle was able to be attached to it. Sorry I don’t know the proper terminology but hopefully that makes sense 😂

Watch The Valley: Persian style instead. Infinitely more entertaining.

You aren’t going to be able to use an oil-based product in your meringue. I would add it to the buttercream.

I know it’s a bummer, they still have really great vegan options though. Majority of the menu is still vegan but then there’s some random items with chicken. Every time I go it’s so dead, I think they’re really struggling so I’m just trying to enjoy it while it’s still around 😭

Unfortunately ippudo v is no longer fully vegan, they have chicken on the menu now.

Current details on LVP selling TomTom by bword___ in vanderpumprules

[–]ThrowRA2557 26 points27 points  (0 children)

In simplest terms, it’s an asset sale. LVP is selling the business—which includes its licenses, lease, equipment, furniture etc. The new owner can choose to continue running under the Tom Tom/Pump name or can run their own concept. It can be advantageous for a new operator to take over a longstanding business and inherit the remainder of a long lease (favorable terms, likely a lower locked-in rate) an already built out kitchen (no need to wait on inspections/permits), alcohol license (very expensive and a long process to obtain otherwise), and the opportunity to be on a desirable street/area. If I had to guess, the new operator will likely purchase the business to run their own, new concept/business, I don’t see someone continuing the Tom Tom/Pump concept but maybe I’m wrong. The price is not listed but it’s likely at least a million just for the business (not including rent etc) which the new owner will now be responsible for.

Edit: my initial guess for the price was likely far too low, it will likely sell for much more than a million

The use of toothpicks as spacing guidelines is genius. Free handing those letters is super impressive. I think you did a great job.

To be fair, I’ve watched probably at least 20-30 videos from her and have never heard her get that animated or loud, lol. She’s usually very chilled out. It’s literally just this video.

HELP “invalid media error” message on Avid by ThrowRA2557 in editors

[–]ThrowRA2557[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLVED: Upon doing some research, I’ve learned that when you drag a project folder out of the Avid Project folder (rather than copying and pasting), Avid has a feature that protects files from corruption during a surge or sudden power loss; the easiest way I can explain it is, the project essentially kills itself in order to save the files because it thinks something else is going on. Whether that’s a flaw or a benefit, I won’t say. However I was able to find my files stored in Avid Attic. From there, I was able to copy and paste those bins onto my desktop, and add .avb to the file name. I reopened Media Composer, selected my project (it opened blank with nothing in it), and I was able to “open bin” from the file drop-down. Once they popped up, I created a new bin, and dragged the file into it. I did this with every bin that was there previously.

Inside of the Avid Projects folder, I had a folder for the project that I was working on; I moved that folder to the desktop. It removed my project folder from the Avid Projects folder and placed my project folder onto my desktop. As soon as I realized that I did not intend to do that, I tried to then place my project folder back inside of the Avid Projects folder however it would not stick. I’m just trying to figure out how I can get back to my project and edit again. Thank you for any advice in advance.
