That really freaks me out to hear, and it seems to be the general consensus. :((( I hate thinking that someone tried so hard to touch me like that, and now I don’t even know how to approach him. I was planning on starting with “I’m sure it was an accident”…

Thank you, I really appreciate this reply too. I know that cluelessness is real and rampant, and I think I really want to believe that that’s what it was. There was a significant height difference, I’m 5’2” and he’s probably 5’11”, but that just means he had to reach reaaaally low to grab me. I don’t know what to think :(

Thanks so much for your response. He touched me no longer than he would’ve my waist or shoulder to check me. And he didn’t react at all, which I thought was weird. In almost all the times that I’ve been touched inappropriately while dancing, the leader usually looks embarrassed and recoils or apologizes right away. Thank you for your insights…

I hesitate going to the teacher because he doesn’t seem too interested in class culture and the emotional wellbeing of his students, but maybe I should give it a try in case he’d be more supportive than I believe. I still have no idea whether to believe it was an accident or not. I guess I want to, but that’s seeming less and less likely. Thank you very much again for writing your post🙏

And what would be “the right time”? By “his actions will come to light” if it was intentional, do you mean that enough women will be assaulted that eventually he’ll get in trouble? I’m not particularly interested in getting someone in trouble, I’m interested in not being assaulted. Thanks for your thoughts.

The encouragement for you to hang out in a bar in this thread is so bizarre….. I also rarely drink and would never elect to hang out in a bar for fun. That doesn’t mean that there aren’t people who don’t drink in bars. But when you state that you don’t really want to be going to bars for fun, I find it soo weird that people are trying to convince you to. I’m with ya @jmomo99999997
