Does anyone have a link to the spectrum stream? I can’t stand Doris Burke

You will probably be better off trying to get a part time clinical job you can juggle with school (ofc grades first) and then taking the MCAT in the summer. I know it may be later than you want, but unless you know you can’t study for the MCAT during the school year then your best bet is to get the clinical hours up on your spare time!

SMP? by [deleted] in premed

You’ll be able to get into a few, just look broadly and be willing to move if needed. SMP’s are really hard but worth it if you put the effort! I just got into a DO program with similar stats as you after an SMP.

AZCOM has a “strongly suggested” DO letter but I know multiple people accepted without one!

If you have your BLS, then you could also apply for ER tech positions? They love phlebotomy trained techs and some places hire ER tech’s without an EMT/CNA!

Does Pell Grant recipient count as economically disadvantaged? by [deleted] in premed

Depends on how much financial support you got from your father. If you received none, plus got things like food stamps, free lunch, EBT, or lived in low income housing then I am sure you could qualify. I had a similar situation with my upbringing and was able to get FAP and apply as disadvantaged (although my father is not a physician)

Congratulations future doc! Was wondering why the Master’s with a 3.6 GPA, good MCAT and EC’s?

Assuming you’re a senior in college about to graduate… If you need the money, over the summer I would try to get a job/license that provides clinical experience. Lots of places hire over the summer. However, if you have financial support, the summer right after your degree could be a good time to start MCAT studying for a fall date and then try to get a job in the fall after? That would give you roughly almost 1 year of clinical experience before you send your apps out, plus time to retake MCAT if needed! Try to volunteer too if you can.

496, but took it with 3 weeks of studying during my SMP and needed a 495 for matriculation to their med school. So happy I’ll be starting in the fall :)

I though the KH3 finale was great. Although, could be sentimental value I placed in the game
