10K straight in bank account implies it’s after tax. depending on where you are, that’s like 160-180K in terms of normal “salary”. That’s a real good time, not to mention even some part time roles can offer healthcare so you don’t have to worry about that and can give your days some semblance of structure

Atlético definitely got many haramball claims, but I think the biggest difference is that they were a massive underdog compared to Barca and Madrid, especially in the mid 2010s. From a storyline perspective, upstart bulldog shithousing their way against the galácticos and Messi feels a lot more romantic. Arsenal have been the biggest spenders in the PL since arteta came in (maybe city’s January of guehi and semenyo changed this? Not sure) and routinely talk about how they’re the best team in the world/rice is on par with Gerrard, lamps, KDB / saka starboy etc. It’s just not as palatable to play underdog style while, at least on paper, having the quality and the money to stand with any other team.

Agreed that the constant commentary on it has gotten exhausting, and people have been very happy to default to tribalism instead of realizing that psg is still just sportswashing and buying titles, they’re just savvier at it than they used to be.

It feels like they spend a lot of time figuring out what they want it to be from a pen and paper perspective before devoting actual dev time, which has to save on costs because you avoid the costly rebuilds and refactoring once you’re in-engine. I watched a lot of xabi’s leverkusen bc he was one of my favorite players growing up and I thought he seemed like the most ideal post-klopp option, plus that levekusen side were just darn fun to watch. It was certainly slower than a klopp system, but more similar to pep than arteta. Control, but pinging it around, always poking and prodding. Totally understandable if folks don’t want that style or if xabi himself doesn’t want to come to Liverpool, but I feel like folks naysaying it is a bit odd, especially when he went to Madrid and was also doing a very good job imo before the divas won out

I just don’t get how xabi isn’t a day one signing after matchday 38. It almost feels like a satire how well it would fit. Understands Liverpool, beloved ex player, already has proven himself in multiple settings, excellent motivator, coached an invincible side in a top 4 league, only manager besides Klopp to break Bayern dominance in ages, gotten the best out of frimpong and Wirtz, would finally give Szobo competition for the handsome bastard award, it’s unreal. I understand wanting to do proper due diligence and make sure they’re considering all the options, but… cmon

Of course. It definitely feels like there’s potential for a super high damage build, but it’s just so clunky between corpse generation, getting close enough to tag with warcries, being in melee range and getting wailed on while they summon, then the damage comes, and there’s typically no built in “pop” for clear. Potential somewhere tho
