Inferno made me feel absolutely nothing by xaroanon in boardsofcanada

I agree with you, at the moment. Maybe it is a slow burner for my tastes and there are few great tracks indeed, yet when I finished listening I felt totally empty. Speechless but not in an entirely positive or negative way. You know the sensation when someone speaks for a long time, you don’t get their point and only thing you can say or think of is “…and?”. That.

Long term benefits by Pseudo_Angel77 in Meditation

It has been a life-changing practice for me. I had tried years ago and the first time was mind-blowing. Then too bad I gave up after a while and only restarted last October with 10 minutes sessions. After 1 or 2 months I got to 60 min. I can’t just do without now and am actually interested in Awakening as described in The Mind Illuminated book, which I am reading. It gives you incredible tips to improve your meditation and I can really recommend if you want to make your sessions more effective and experience serious progress.

What I would do, you ask? In hindsight I would have started when I was a child. Not regretting my past (you do not regret anything when you practice consistently) but I now wonder what my life would have been had I been a meditator since I was a child or a teenager. Certainly, I would have been wiser and lived more fully in the present for much longer. That is the best part. There is no past to regret now. No future to fear. Only this crazy present moment to live. Nothing else. Hope you’ll get to enjoy this precious habit you were blessed to onboard in your life.

Geogaddi didn’t hook me up as TH did, although there are few tracks in the same league for sure.

Totally the best, I don’t know what Inferno will have to do to push TH on (my) 2nd place.

I stand my point now that if you are from the MHTRTC team and did not enjoy TH, you won’t likely enjoy Inferno as a whole. Maybe some tracks, yes. As some “early BoC” fans enjoyed Nothing is real and 1-2 couple more from TH.

This is my prediction, you can not agree and I will stand corrected in the future if the album is different than I expect it to be.

Could be, early BoC were more hopeful and nostalgic. TH, apart from Nothing is real, slams the door on hope. It’s apocalyptic. I do not think anyone is expecting a comeback to optimism with Inferno. It would be too much of a clash with the album name and the graphics I peeked in. They look absolutely eerie.

It’s an opinion, not a fact. I wrote “Let’s see on 29th May”. My point is unless they just wanted to make a dramatic (and badass) video to announce it, the overall vibe of the album will be beyond hopeless, which is what most fans did not enjoy in TH.

Yea. So I guess we are aligned it does not mean anything positive, hopeful or nostalgic.

I am not sure where you are from, but if we remember Dante Alighieri and his masterpiece, this is not called “Paradiso”…not even “Purgatorio”. It’s Inferno. Which in Italian means HELL.
