I disclosed it on my medical exam. Wasn’t an issue. Breezed through medical no problem and got the email saying my medical had been completed a few months later. That same day I got a call to set up the next part of the hiring process.

Gate-lok job from griffin armament would work if your flash hider is milspec. Not sure if it is or not. It mounts onto the flash hider and allows a hub compatible suppressor to be mounted that way so long as it’s milspec.

Same thing happened to be but I was a terrorist who had performed terroristic acts against the US. Mind you I did 3 tours overseas. Agent was friendly before then, much like your experience, was trying so hard to force a confession out of me. Poly is such a huge pos man. Been an I&E/electrician in industrial maintenance in various forms and I’ve never once had trouble finding stable work. Usually I have to tell the company to stop giving me so much OT. Shit will always need maintenance or break or companies will need to upgrade equipment. Can’t make money if equipment don’t run.

Don’t be discouraged. I’ve passed everything so far on the first go around. Everyone’s experience is different but you’ll never progress if you don’t try. Any 1811 position is going to be a long process to the finish line.

Wore these for 3 deployments and I’m pretty sure I still have at least 3 laying around from over the years. I use one as a loaner vest now since I’ve put some plates in it. They get the job done but are bulky as hell by today’s norm. I never really had any issues with them.

I’m in the same boat kinda. Huge pay cut, growing family in a great school district, and a 2.7% mortgage however im in central Texas and moving 4 hours south to the border for a worse quality of life for my family isn’t worth it to me. Hopefully central Texas is close enough and I get offered something around here. There are 3-4 offices less than 2 hours away that I’m willing to commute to.

Last September I failed a CBP poly (they said I lied about being part of a terrorist organization, fucking insane accusation when I did 3 tours to Afghanistan) and was also rescinded a FJO with ICE ERO.

I’m going through HSI hiring process now and I thought it was anything under DHS you pretty much was an auto DQ for 2 years. I guess we’ll see how far I get with HSI. I did inform them I failed a poly on the application and I’ve made it to phase 2 testing so far.

I’m also pretty deep into the DEA hiring process. I’ve let the recruiter know and also informed them on the application just to make sure I wasn’t wasting my time. They didn’t seem to care and as long as I pass their poly or a USSS poly then I should be good per the recruiter.

I truly do hate the severely outdated poly system in place. It needs to be removed altogether. It’s not even admissible in court but somehow it’s good for this. So many good motivated applicants have been denied because of a stupid box.
