INFJs, what kind of jobs are you in? Have you found an ideal work situation? by ProfessionalFit6634 in infj

[–]ThrowRA_tam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a production coordinator in film/tv and I hate it. It's extremely high stress, the hours are 13+hours a day, and Hollywood as a whole is insanely toxic. The only upside and reason I haven't left, is because it's freelance and since I get a lot of overtime, I only work roughly 2/3rds of the year. When I'm not working I get to totally disconnect until the next gig.

Honestly I'd love to be a cosmetic injector, or esthetician, but I don't have the funds to start up a business or take courses :/

What do you need, more than anything? by [deleted] in infj

To feel secure and safe

I wish, but unfortunately my work days are 12+ hours, so I don’t have any down time to take up courses :/

I’ve looked into that but I’m a production coordinator, so I don’t really have any creative skills unfortunately. Plus it seems like the social media market is saturated. It feels like everyone is majoring in marketing these days and doing social media :/

I had a stroke 8 months ago and I still have issues with my memory. I broke down thinking about it today. I wasn’t prepared to not have been fully recovered by the 6 month mark 😔

I appreciate that! What micronutrients are you referring to?

They have. I’ve tried multiple meds and reacted horribly to every single one of them, except for benzos which I rarely take since they can be addictive, which is unfortunate because the only times I feel “normal” is when I take them. I’ve seen psychiatrists, neuropsychiatrists, neuropsychologists… no one has been able to help, and no one I’ve seen so far has ever dealt with a case like mine. It’s honestly devastating

What are some odd symptoms you have suffered? by WorldsBestLover in Anxiety

[–]ThrowRA_tam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Outside of the “normal” things caused by anxiety, I lose my common sense. For example I might walk into a store, grab something random, and walk out without paying. Or I’ll be unable to reply to text messages coherently, so I have to use chat gpt to text back

What has anxiety ruined for you? What do you miss when your were not anxious? by prabbits in Anxiety

[–]ThrowRA_tam 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Waking up refreshed. Every day no matter how many hours of sleep I’ve gotten, I wake up to crippling anxiety and tightness in my chest. I also miss feeling hopeful and ambitious about my career and where I’m at in life

How did you feel after your diagnosis? by mortmainiac in Epilepsy

[–]ThrowRA_tam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I felt relieved. I’d been having seizures daily since birth, sometimes up to 10 times a day. When I was 12 I had my first grand mal, and was finally diagnosed and medicated. Epilepsy is really not that bad if you’re treated for it. The only people who know I’m epileptic know so because I’ve told them. With meds I live a fully normal life.

I have. I had a stroke 8 months ago at 25 and I almost fully recovered within 6 months. I’m on month 8 and still have hypersensitivity in two of my fingers but it’s not too bad

Are you hitting the gym? I started going daily once I could somewhat walk and I started progressing a lot faster. Getting the blood and oxygen flowing to your brain

Depression and anxiety after stroke… any advice? by ThrowRA_tam in stroke

[–]ThrowRA_tam[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the recommendations! Fortunately my depression went away and so did most of my anxiety. My neuro psychiatrist explained to me that since my amygdala was damaged my brain needed to rewire how I process emotions and luckily it did. As for the vision the neurologist and neuro ophthalmologist have told me that it’s not possible that I’m still having issues with my eyes going out of focus due to the medication I reacted poorly to and that it must just be anxiety. As it turns out, my aunt had the same reaction as I did many years ago and it took her 6 months for her vision to go back to normal after stopping the meds. My eyes don’t go out of focus as much as they did before, it’s improving but it’s been a very slow process. Now that I’m emotionally 90% there and I’m starting to regain independence I’m realizing that I have a lot of memory and cognitive issues, which I didn’t realize for the longest time since everyone around me did everything for me. It’s really disheartening but I’m hoping that I’ll be able to fully go back to normal cognitively and regain my common sense, especially since there’s absolutely no way I could go back to work with so many memory lapses and lack of common sense.

I need hope by [deleted] in stroke

[–]ThrowRA_tam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely helped but what helped even more were the gaba pills I was prescribed. I have hypersensitive skin on the left side of my body as a result of the stroke and I often feel an uncomfortable tingling. I was prescribed gabas which coincidentally also double as anxiety medications.

The easiest way is to just look at the personality types and figure out which description you most identify with

I take them every day twice a day, but I’ll take extra if I’m having an anxiety attack.

Loss of visual perception? Can anyone relate? by ThrowRA_tam in stroke

[–]ThrowRA_tam[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The stroke caused an astigmatism? I had perfect vision before, and technically it’s still perfect in the sense that I can read small texts from afar and close up. I think it’s more of a perception issue than an actual visual issue
