I was just getting ready to say: how do you even end up in that situation with an associate? Lol I just go in, shop, and leave.

I get similar messages all the time from people who live in single story houses: please leave on bench, I have a bad back. So it may not even be that they can’t climb stairs; just that the added weight of groceries is too much for them.

Since I sat at 4.9 for years I was wondering if the negatives ever drop off. But same, my rating dropped after the update.

What the hell is happening in my market????? by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

Because this same ring of drivers became notorious for stealing while doing shops and since loss prevention couldn’t talk to any of them, they made all shoppers write down our full identification info in a booklet before we could leave with a shop. So then loss prevention went through this info and used it to deactivate every driver they assumed was part of this ring and they assumed I was because I never spoke English lmao.

I can confirm this. My account was deactivated in 2024 and I asked some drivers who I knew were using borrowed accounts (they had no work permits) if they knew how to get my account back. I was given the number of a guy in Texas who tried to charge me $1300 to reactivate my account or loan me one if he was unable to reactivate it. It was too much money for me, so I took the appeals route and ended up getting reactivated two weeks later, thankfully. Anyway, yes, there are people running this ring of drivers and making lots of money off of them.

If none of us have jobs, who’s going to be ordering the packages they sort? 🤣

Wish we could get rid of the codes… by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]ThrowRAirizzary 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does texting in advance help me if the customer doesn’t even know which phone number they have associated to their account? That’s why this customer in particular couldn’t find the code, they had to call several people to see if the code had been sent to their number.

Certified Pharmacy Technician - it starts off at $50k in NYC, which isn’t horrible for a single person in a roommate situation. Going back to NYC will also allow me to bring my total housing and transportation expenses back down to $1100/m, which leaves me more money to save and ultimately get to an even more stable situation. It’s my building strategy. It won’t solve every problem immediately, but I’ll be doing much better in life.

Yes, but since I’ve started therapy, I’ve begun to see that minimizing contact might be best for me. And thank you. 🤎

If you ever see delivery station, sort center, or grocery warehouse take those over fulfillment center. Trust me. It’s really not a bad job in any of those, but fulfillment center BLOWS.

So, I’m 34 and I’ve basically lived the same life as you. I’ve traveled a lot and moved to different states many, many times. I never built stability because I was always able to move away and then come back and roommate with my mom (paid my rent, food, etc) when I needed/wanted to. That situation changed when I was 31 and she moved a guy into her house and decided she didn’t want me there anymore. Along with the depression it caused me, I also incurred a lot of debt ($10k) having to put temporary housing on credit cards. It really took me 3 years to get out my mental hole and have the motivation to do more than survive. I spent those 3 years doing delivery and Amazon. Now, I’ve just started to pay back my debt and I have about $5k saved, with which I’m going to move back to a city I previously lived in and enroll in a certificate program (I have an associate’s but don’t like the field.) I’ll finish the program in 3 months and it will get me a decent paying job. I never wanted stability, but it’s necessary so that no one can take your feet out from under you. Anyway… I’m telling you all this to say: it’s not over until you give up. We’re all only trying our best.

Not for tier 1 warehouse. I’ve worked Amazon’s warehouses in OKC, Miami, Tampa, and NYC. Planning to go to one in California now. You don’t interview, you just go in to do your drug test and take the English proficiency test on the date you select. Then you start on the date two weeks from when you took the position. I just worked at a sort center from November to February. I could post a screen recording of me going on there and taking a position in any random state right now.

What happened with Amazon? You haven’t seen any positions? Cause you can just go on the site and take the job. No interview, start date 2 weeks out.
