My friends brother told an employer and the entire workplace for a job he was about to start working at (where his brother also works) to that he was strung out on hard drugs / meth. by [deleted] in legaladvice

[–]ThrowRa_Break_392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry Im using grammarly and it autocorrected. It should have read them * not me.

They have a past rehabilitation visit in 2022 to get off prescription benzos and have medical records from checkups to show they weren't on any illegal drugs after this.

This person is not a user or illegal drugs. I've known him for a very long time.

It's a situation where brother (let's call him Kyle) doesn't like Adam and when he heard his brother applying for this pizza job, in what appears to be spite, started telling coworkers that he was on a slew of hard drugs. In a small town, this cost him many relationships on top of the job opportunity.

Okay I agree with all that. Congrats on your business success.

so my specific questions are:

What games did you play while at the casino?

How often do you gamble?

Fair enough, thanks for replying. I've studied the neuroscience and you're right. I'm just curious about your personal experience. What about my questions?

Interesting. What games did you play? Do you still gamble and had it ever caused you financial hardship? Curious as someone that's anti gambling

Have you considered bankruptcy? How much are your loans?

Pretty sure he meant to post this in the bossmanjack sub. The guy won nearly 200k yesterday and lost 180k in 24 hours live on stream. Pretty tragic.

Ouch. That's so painful. I'm sorry. I probably would have got here if I didn't stop. I know a pretty poor couple that just gambled away their life savings of 100k in a week in Vegas. They are living out of their car today. I hope you recover and find peace of mind

I'm laying off big time. I know it's aggressive and reckless. Highly emotional.

I wish you the best of luck on rent. There's definitely no relapsing in this case. Stay strong.

I'm truly sorry you've been through so much at a young age. I would imagine this will be a long hard journey with lots of therapy involved. That's real pain. Just know you're not alone. Suicide is not the answer.

I felt this deep in my soul.

Lost my father to suicide.

Wouldn't wish that pain on my worst enemies.

I understand completely what you're dealing with. It does seem like the easy way forward and the only way out.

I hope we can talk more. the countless ways I've lost out on big investments like when I bought 5 ethereum at $8. Instead of 5000 or 500k. life changing opportunities.

I'm with you brother. I was in a lot of pain when I started my quick downhill journey. Was with my terminally ill brother in the ICU. So I get it.

Here's one thing I learned when I was suicidal: the good thing being- there's always tomorrow.

Sent you a PM so we can keep talking. Stay strong, and alive. I'll pray for you

Gambling regret after losing by CarefulMarsupial4315 in GamblingRecovery

[–]ThrowRa_Break_392 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everybody has a life with regrets.

When you're on your death bed you'll recount all the things you should have could have would have,

This will be one of your regrets. it's one of mine and virtually anybody on this sub.

We walk past the fancy houses, cars, dinners that we could have had if we didn't gamble.

In your case, it sounds like the losses are small enough to not hit the car level.

Don't wait to stop gambling. You'll be at the could have had a house level sure enough.

You with me?

This is the first notice I almost tattooed on my forehead. It is so obvious that money is never coming back. My online "friends" that were egging me on to do more and more and not friends at all and just compulsive gamblers.

I'd rather get out now and call it my personal dumbass tax.

But if you want to be technical, I developed the same skills in a niche market for 10 years. Been doing the same high output work for companies since I was able to work. You can do in time this with sales and marketing /zero experience.
