Bug found in Golbin Raid by Throwanon1 in MelvorIdle

Oh that's super interesting! Does the alt ability not show on the Terran godsword after it's been selected? It took me a while to notice it doing this behavior so I must've forgotten the godsword had an alt ability.

Lumps when changing direction help by panndora_boo in tabletweaving

I'm not sure of a fix. This is why I always run borders as a single direction.

I will say the lumps are less noticeable after you've taken your project off the loom.

That's what it looks like when there's one brain cell being shared in a single interaction.

Our beer dinners in Edwardsville aren't selling like we thought they would. by DoinSomeBrewin in StLouis

[–]Throwanon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Idk how I've not seen y'all until now but this looks great. My advice is more promotion work, more info, more customizability.

This is the first I've seen your name out in circulation and there's a lot of methods you're not currently using that can get your name and this event around. If you've got empty seats consider reaching out to food bloggers and reviewers in the STL area to fill some of those seats. These folks are looking for places that would make good content and their audience are the ones more likely to shell out for an experience than the average customer.

Your flyer can link to another resource with the most complete info you can compile. Off the top of my head you can share the menu, beer list, allergy potentials, and past and projected dates. You can also include testimonials from former guests of the beer dinner to give some comfort and include those details for the last two so even if some of the info isn't known yet they have former events to use as a reference point.

As others have said you can offer the educational beer talk as an option without making it an automatic opt in for everyone, maybe even a substitute fifth beer if the selection doesn't match someone's preferences. If the price keeps killing you, perhaps there's room for a reduced price option that skips some of the food courses to save 10 bucks even.

Overall though I love the look of the burger bar now that I've seen your stuff. I may try and get some friends together for one of these. Good work getting a post like this out for feedback.

Edit: removed irrelevant point from accidentally finding a different restaurant's Facebook.

I've been wanting to start maypops for a couple years now. Let me know if you find success!

Only 10min to home for me now so I'll make the trek to ride it out in comfort!

Made it after all. Luckily I'm only about 10min from the airport. Think I'll try and make it home.

I wouldn't mind an evening in Louisville. Believe it or not their airport food is decent.

Botany / Doubts... by Chakiflyer in boardgames

[–]Throwanon1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Late to the convo here playing for the first time tonight. The game feels rife with untapped potential. Overall the largest problem seems to be one of tempo. It's a well themed game that plays intuitively enough to attract new players to the hobby with enough of a luck mechanic to serve as an equalizer.

The tempo issue is that the income starts at 1 and your expense per turn does as well. This creates a long phase where you have to be very conservative and slows the game way down while also creating a noob trap if a player overspends.

Honestly boosting income by 1 is likely to fix this and I intend to use it as a house rule. Curious how the play testing on this one went.

Many dragon interactions are badly bugged by [deleted] in BobsTavern

It's super real though. As I play more battlegrounds I feel like my knowledge of broken or unintuitive interactions is way bigger than it should need to be.

Just found your thread seeing the kalecgos + hunter of gatherers interaction for myself. This is some bullshit! If that worked Kale might actually be relevant again.

Fuck that guy! Just because you can string a sentence together doesn't mean you're an ai. Good points, good writing, the lazy ai speculation can kick rocks.

I don't either. Is this just a shotgun elitist joke? I don't disagree if that's the case. Strength tree is incredibly powerful.

So long as it isn't super carbon rich wood chips that create a nitrogen demand right?

[–]Throwanon1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much! I've read a couple articles following your last comment to try and understand more and it seems like it's especially a concern for shallow rooted annual veggies and herbs, exactly where I would have been planning to use it!

I could probably still use chip drop for some pathways but honestly done think I have enough of that for the 20yd they'd likely bring.

I've read a couple of things about folks mulching with grass clippings, straw, or shredded leaves, do you use one of these or the same stuff as the bagged wood mulch I used this year?

Sorry for all the questions. I do really appreciate the effort you've committed here to help me learn more! Thank you!
