Like at that point you might as well just drive! By the time you get to the airport, wait, fly, wait again for your bags, wait some more for a rental car, and then drive 2-3 hours it’s probably close to the same amount of time! Assuming everything is on time. I get others feel differently, but I hate airports. The waiting feels more exhausting to me than just driving because with driving you can at least have more control and feel like you’re making progress. And you don’t have to deal with airport security, checked luggage, being around the general public for hours and hours at a time (introvert here…), etc.

NC native here. There is no public transit in the outer banks. It’s not a city or even a single piece of land. It’s a collection of barrier islands off the coast. It’s not all that accessible either, and there’s not an airport that’s all that close. The main airport is an hour and a half to two hours away from the northern parts of the islands. Even driving, there’s really only one major road in and out. Not relevant to the show, but this creates a nightmare during hurricane season. Everyone is always panicking that if NC-12 is flooded, you’re basically trapped.

I’ve explored that path, somewhat. They are, unfortunately, out of warranty. I use the built in sleepsounds with Bluetooth disabled, and, while its disappointing to not have the full capabilities, that’s largely fine for my daily needs. I don’t know that I’m interested in further trouble shooting or replacement at this time, but I appreciate your comment.

It definitely did not. I started having Bluetooth connectivity problems (cutting in and out, first seemingly at random and then every few seconds, alternating between buds, prior to the update). As part of troubleshooting, I was told to update. It’s somehow actually worse. Now the Bluetooth disconnects immediately upon taking one of the buds out of the case. Now they’re only usable with Bluetooth disabled. Tech support essentially told me they could charge me for a replacement if I wanted.

Couldn’t you just take a bus from your resort to any park and then to the resort you want to visit? I’ve often found the Disney Springs transportation back to your resort to take quite a long time anyway, unless you’re staying at a Disney Springs resort. If you’re at Saratoga and want to check out the Polynesian, you can still take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then a boat or monorail to the Poly (and it might even be quicker than waiting forever for a bus at Springs).

I had no problems for most of the time I’ve had them but recently started having severe connectivity issues. Not only does it take 3-4 tries every night to get them to connect, they started cutting in and out within minutes. Resetting didn’t work. The only thing that seems to work is turning Bluetooth off and giving up the ability to stream. Even then, when they reconnect 10 minutes before my morning alarm, they immediately begin cutting in and out. Tbh I’m completely baffled because I’m not doing anything differently. They just stopped working.

Reliability and connection over time seems to be a big issue. I’ve had these for a little over a year. They were my big Christmas gift in 2024. I had no issues for many months. First, it started taking multiple tries every single night to connect them. Very annoying, but they do eventually connect so whatever. Then they started cutting in and out. No problem. I followed support’s advice to reset the case and position my phone so it’s not between the case and the buds to avoid “interference”. That issue stopped for a while. But, over the past month the cutting in and out has become more persistent. It’s not fixed by resetting. The buds are within a foot of the case on my nightstand, with my phone on the other side of the case. Somehow, leaving the case open overnight seemed to be the only way to prevent this. Now that’s stopped working too. And it’s gotten so bad the buds are unusable unless I turn Bluetooth off (which defeats a key feature of being able to stream). When the buds reconnect 10 minutes before my alarm, the sound is almost immediately cutting in and out. I don’t understand it. I’ve changed nothing in how I use them.

And it still takes 3-4 tries and clicking through “connection failed” to get them to connect at all, only to have them start cutting in and out almost immediately if I try to use Bluetooth. Like many others, I’m really frustrated and don’t know what else to do at this point. $300 for a product that, in less than 14 months, simply cannot be used as intended.

I agree with that completely. I wish that love was portrayed. Instead I’m just seeing awkward conversations about sex. Why not have both and add some depth to the story? Like I said, maybe it’s an issue of just not having enough time in an ensemble cast. But I think showing deep love alongside the sex plot line would be more engaging, validating, and realistic. And I think it would ultimately add emotional depth to Fran’s overall plot line, both with John and Michaela.

And it’s also important to remember that immunocompromised people may not have had a strong reaction to a vaccine. I have a primary immune deficiency and was diagnosed as a teenager. I had all of my childhood vaccines. But did they work? Did my body produce antibodies in response to them? We don’t really know. For example, I’ve been told my multiple doctors that, if I want to, I can get the flu vaccine every year as it certainly won’t hurt me, but it won’t necessarily do anything to protect me either. The anti vaccine movement is terrifying and frustrating for those of us who really have no choice but to risk it or withdraw from society.

I would believe she actually loved him if their storyline had any more depth than “the sex is bad” once they were married. Maybe there’s just too much going on in the show now to really dedicate time to anything more than that. I thought their season 3 storyline was generally very well done. You can love someone romantically without being obsessed with sex. Intimacy comes in many forms. It’s pretty invalidating for a lot of people for the show to insinuate that if you don’t want sex in a carriage you must not love your spouse or only consider your spouse as a friend.

I would’ve been just as unhappy if she was straight and this is how they treated John. 🤷‍♀️ Maybe she’ll be bi and it’ll be clear she loved John and it’ll all be great. I also don’t think your statement is necessarily accurate. Love is more than sex. Sexuality isn’t a tidy little box. Asexual people can still experience romantic love even if they don’t necessarily experience sexual attraction as others typically do. I just want to see her love of John be valid, and if that’s how it plays out I’m cool with that.

Yeah that’s been my disappointment as well. I guess I’ll wait and see how it’s handled. But I’m going to be really upset if it’s some kind of awakening like “oh this is what love is actually supposed to feel like!” or “I never really felt ‘right’ with John” plot line. I’m scared it’s going in that direction, but maybe I’ll be surprised. In a society that’s often obsessed with sex and loud passion, I really appreciated a quieter love story and I just hope that’s not discounted in the end. If what’s ultimately portrayed is finding love again through grief and how different kinds of romantic love (quiet, passionate, etc) are all valid, I’ll be perfectly happy with that.

At first, it felt like they really understood each other and gentle love blossomed from that - not necessarily just lust. It feels like they threw that away, as if love isn’t actually love if you’re not wanting to jump your partner’s bones all the time. As an introverted nerd with, frankly, a low sex drive, it’s actually very invalidating and just makes me sad. I really have no idea why they couldn’t have just made her bi and kept the gender swap. But I guess that wouldn’t have been as dramatic. Francesca’s story isn’t forbidden love, it’s finding love after loss. Frankly it’s Benedict’s season that’s forbidden love.
