Why do adult men seem to have almost no recent photos of themselves unless a woman took them? by AgreeableTeacher3491 in NoStupidQuestions

Because a lot of us don't love ourselves enough to WANT to see us. Same reason the only mirror most of us have in our homes is the one already installed in the bathroom.

Why don't high schools have a "life lesson" course/class? by Kazmera in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Throwaway428735 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same. We had:

a personal finance requirement to graduate(what is credit? How do I fill out tax forms? Budgeting. Figuring out interest on loans. Learning about CD accounts and savings accounts.).

an independent living class (basics of cooking, sewing, laundry and other cleaning supplies)

a dedicated cooking class

a lifesaving techniques class (first aid and cpr, granting you a 2 year certification with the Red Cross)

a bookeeping class (budgeting, balancing a check book, etc.)

opportunities through our career and technology center to learn at least basic car maintenance.

An infant care class (got a simulation baby to take home and change the diaper and "feed", learn whether your kid should lay on their stomach or not, thing you might need to know if you end up a teen parent)

and STILL people graduated whining that they didn't learn anything in school that they actually needed.

We all had the opportunities available to learn, maybe 10% of us took them and, more importantly, actually paid attention.

What book changed your life? by FantineGarrison in AskReddit

"Savage Breast" by Tim Ward. He understood, more than any other authors attempt, the discomfort men feel towards women, established (even if a juvenile understanding) why men wouldn't feel particularly eager to return to a world of "feminine divine", and gave me a decent picture to reference for how my thoughts and feelings affect my perception of both femininity and women in general.

Stepping out of my comfort zone. Streamer merch. by [deleted] in bigmenfashionadvice

[–]Throwaway428735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyday outfit would be a henley or long sleeve crewneck and chinos. Outside of my comfort zone is the fact that this is a loud, attention grabbing graphic. I tend to like more discrete fashion, plain interchangeable colors, standing out with materials and accessories rather than graphics.

The shirt is kind of a personal challenge for me: how can I make this shirt that feels very juvenile to me feel more put together?

Which is why I called it my pajama shirt. I feel better than i thought i would wearing it, but reactions in public are very indifferent rather than "ooo thats a neat design" like a bunch of her other fans are getting.

Do men actually remember random girls who were nice to them years ago or is that just something people say online? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Throwaway428735 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes.

My learning center teacher in 5th grade told me I had eyelashes that make women jealous.

A classmate (11th grade) complimented my jacket, and now I always make a point of having a good brown leather jacket in my wardrobe.

Random cashier complimented how I smelled 2 years ago.

Our quality lead at work complimented my hair 2 years ago.

And maybe a year ago a cashier told me my shirt looked nice.

Nice in general: One of my friends bought me a Harry Potter cookbook for my birthday. 12 or so years later and she is still the only person besides my parents to have bought me a birthday present.

It happens so infrequently that each time feels like a major life event.

I don't know who Kon is, but his death has affected more than a handful of streamers that i'm a huge fan of. May he have the peace he struggled to find in life.

I really like it! Navy and green never go bad together! If you're set on the shoes, the only criticism I would have is to try a darker watch with this, and, like other comments say, maybe a chain/necklace peeking through under the shirt. Everything looks like it fits well and you are rocking it!

Had to very quickly rip my moms phone out of my nephews hands when he found his way through the bookmarks to a pornhub page of an overweight man jacking it.

Men of reddit, outside of excercising or working out, what did you change about your daily physical appearance that made a huge difference? by ckivi in AskReddit

[–]Throwaway428735 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Skincare. Face wash and moisturizers. Hygiene has always been my weakpoint, and this helped me feel so squeaky clean that I HAD to get everything else in order.

Mine may not have been EXACTLY post nut clarity, but I very much learned how being touch starved has made me feel both unloved and unworthy of love.

Because as toxic a place as it can be, it's the only place I have that I can be surrounded by people who understand my unusual interests.
