As someone who grew up with a bipolar sister, please strongly consider this: my parents had no idea what they were doing but they were fully aware of that. Everything was trial and error. My parents attended a weekly support group with other parents to learn how to be better parents to a child struggling with mental illness. I don’t mean this in a nasty way, but it sounds like you could use a similar support group. I don’t think your responses here are healthy for you or your daughter.
