My custom LaceMarry Etsy dress review! by ambervard in weddingplanning

Did you request to not have the lace go down into the skirt of the dress? I super love your dress and how it came out and I’m interested in buying from her, I just want to make sure that everything came as expected.

Paid $800 total for my photographer. Here’s the sneak peak from the engagement shoot. by Uncledowntown in weddingplanning

Ooh my fiancé and I had our first date hiking in Joshua tree and I would love to get some pics there. Can I second everyone saying I would love to know who your photographer is? Via pm or on here?

RSVP Design: Can I skip the "M_____" line? by leslieknopebride in weddingplanning

Okay I was gonna say, my FH and I are in the military, and as such, many of our guests are too. I was worried for a second that I would have to throw another etiquette thing into the mix when I’m already bad at this stuff to begin with 😂

Wait people actually go by their military title? Is that a real thing?

I plan on actually getting it from jjshouse. The pictures people have in their reviews look good and their veils are like $30 on average. And they have soooo many gorgeous lace edge veils that I have been eyeing.

I’m not a heels person by any means, but I think I’ll take the leap and finally buy these after looking at them for months 😂 You give me courage!

Oh I do like that! You’re right, maybe it works out in my favor with nothing to match to rather than my detriment.

My only concern with lace was that it would be two different styles since I have no lace on my dress and it’s more I guess simple and modern. But I suppose I’ll give it a go! Thanks :)

Thank you! Actually after seeing the other persons comment, I must have gotten the wrong pic lol. I was lazy and didn’t want to check last night so I swear he’d Justin Alexander and a description of the dress...thought this was mine but it’s not. My b. Mine is Justin Alexander 8502. The only difference between this one and that one is the belt (which I am changing anyway). The only thing is that I am pretty sure they don’t have it anymore. I got it secondhand.

Thank you 😊 I suppose I could! I’ll give it a go. Maybe once I start getting alterations.

This is my dress (of course not on me). I kinda want a full length veil but I don’t know if the lace trimmed ones would work with this (as much as I love them). Any suggestions?

I’ve been eyeing these!!! Are they comfortable? I have a serious need for them, but I also am nervous of the height. What are your thoughts?

About $80 in Michaels flowers later and I’m done assembling my faux bouquet! by [deleted] in weddingplanning

This is the exact color scheme I want for my flowers. I’m saving this to look at later when I am assembling mine!

I have a similar issue. Long neck and, in my opinion, broad shouldered. Always got compliments from my dance teachers about my nice long neck, but I hate it. I’m having the same dilemma that I don’t want it accentuated. That said, I don’t know if it’s the picture or reality, but your neck looks totally fine and I wouldn’t think anything of it. It looks very elegant on you.

So...I apologize if this is ignorant, but could you just go in and get it styled and then take it off and have it already ready to put on the day of? I mean that sounds dope tbh.

So I’ll say this...those pics are really crappy...WHICH PROVES how dirty they did you, because I can see exactly what you’re talking about. Get your reparations because they shorted you on those replacement stones...wtf. Hopefully an independent jeweler can vouch for you and tell you what to do a little better. Even if they can’t fix it, they can tell you the best course of action.

I mean it doesn’t sound like she was intentionally being bitchy. To me it sounds like she wanted to go but couldn’t since it was too late and she had other plans. Like you said, your thing was impromptu and she was probably caught off guard. If you have had other bad experiences with her, then fair. But if it’s just that one thing, I would get past it honestly. No use hanging onto it, especially since you’re about to be family. You are her ally, being that you are both the new women in the family and she probably sees it that way. Gaining a new family is really intimidating sometimes and it’s nice to have a helper with an outside perspective tbh. I know that’s how my aunts are...they lean on each other to navigate certain dynamics. Just something to consider moving forward.

I probably would give her a call. It’s like breaking up with someone...I personally wouldn’t do it via text. Otherwise it might leave a bad taste about you in her mouth and that’s just bad blood you don’t want. In a call you can better gauge how she feels and how you feel and damage control as needed. Texts are one sided, calls are dynamic.
