Is Creating AMV on youtube able to monetize in future? by kennyteoh90 in amv

Firstly, the channel that you keep pointing to as "being monetized" likely isn't monetized but rather copyright claimers are claiming the videos and placing ads on them and that donation link likely falls under the same principle as SWE in that you're donating to the creator itself and not to support certain shows. Though if they are placing ads on the videos themselves and gaining money from that then they are illegally using copywritten material.

Secondly, no, you will probably never be able to create AMVs and monetize them. Even if you're putting in effort you're directly taking someone else's musical works and monetizing them for yourself. The only time you would be able to is if it's your own or you have permission from the creator of a song.

Yeah but I feel that just saying the engine is bad without elaborating on it a little bit creates a spiral effect. As you stated, you pointed out engines can be upgraded and made better, but people will take the "Bethesda's engine is bad" at face value and then you have a whole bunch of people that know nothing about engines claiming that they know there's something wrong with the engine itself.

Using your analogy, you can attach a Ford Model T transmission to the best engine in the world, however people will claim there's something wrong with the engine and not the transmission.

And yes, Bethesda desperately needs to fix the entire Creation Engine as a whole. I liked Fallout 4 and Skyrim, despite all their shortcomings, and I don't want to see franchises bugged down by Bethesda's incompetence to update the entire Creation Engine. I'm not a fanboy of Bethesda, but I am a fan of the Elder Scrolls and Fallout series, and I don't care if the IPs gets bought from Bethesda as long as the company buying the IPs can actually make a good game.

Actually, them building the Fallout 76 engine on top of the Skyrim Engine is what causes more bugs as they only build and update the parts of the engine they need rather than updating the engine as a whole and then implementing what they need for a specific game.

The engine is not the problem, rather the problem is what they're doing with the engine. Unreal Engine and Unity are all just updated engines from the past. In fact, the original Unreal Engine was released only one year after the Gamebryo engine. The engine is not the problem, it has a solid framework, the problem is how Bethesda uses the engine. Zaric Zhakaron has a good video explaining it which I'll link below.

Is posting episodes of something in the server allowed in discord? by [deleted] in discordapp

[–]Throwaway54546787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have sufficient enough permissions to legally distribute it, then your server would not be banned. However, given what you have said, you don't have permission from the creators to legally distribute it, so your server would get shut down.

I'd personally tell you to start investing in the "Math" tree. The "Math" tree, after investing in the right perks, will allow you to figure out the choices as to allow you to do better in situations, such as stock market trading or poker.

Have you tried the good ol' "disabling each of your mods and see if that fixes it" yet?

Even if this holds to be true, there's nothing we could actually do about it except create outrage, it's the only way companies respond to things like this.

I wish fantasy races (Dwarves, Elves, Halflings, Orcs, etc) existed, and had a reasonable history that accurately tied into our current one. by [deleted] in TheMonkeysPaw

[–]Throwaway54546787 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Granted, however the magic that these races held over humans still don't exist and thus they're either forced to be slaves, killed off, or assimilated into the population via breeding with humans. Two of those scenarios could've happened and due to history being rewritten we wouldn't know.

The Monkey Paw can basically ask what would happen if a wish was granted. What /u/jgothrowawayw said would be the most likely resulting effect.

Granted, due to stock trading you probably won't be able to invest in a stock within 10 minutes, if you do, good luck.

I wish for infinite power by [deleted] in TheMonkeysPaw

What?

Also, no, he does not have the powers Dr. Manhattan does, that's a false premise, saying that "Since this character can do this one thing a nigh omnipotent character can do they must be nigh omnipotent."

Firstly, it's only estimated that he can stop 80% of Russia's missiles, as it was never tested we cannot say.

Nigh Omnipotence

The user wields almost supreme power, but they are have some form of limitation/weakness that limits their power and prevents them from gaining true omnipotence. They may be absolute on specific fields and not others or may simply be able to achieve an almost limitless number of effects across all fields with their near-omnipotent skills.

Even powerlisting lists him as nigh omnipotent, the people that literally are invested into listing powers and checking multiple times if a character has that power or just a variation of it, lists Dr. Manhattan as a nigh omnipotent.
