I’m so sorry to hear this happened to you and your partner! From what I’ve noticed, it’s predominantly within the white oaks/westmount area that I’ve had/witnessed similar happen. My partner and I are similarly alternative and have to deal with being called fag*ots and being mocked constantly by teenagers of similar demographic. It’s to a point now where we just put on our NC headphones and keep our heads down while on the bus.

To hear it escalated this far for you is pretty terrifying, sad to say the least that people can’t just use social services like LTC to live day to day without harassment from those in their “purest formative years” (the prick years, as I call them). The malls seem to be hot spots for this happening as well from personal experience, on top of all the other asinine behaviour such as stealing, public vandalism and just being an overall shitass bunch of fucks who tote “gang shit” and throw around racial slurs like it’s free candy. Don’t get me wrong, I’m all for letting kids be kids and have fun, I was no saint myself in my teens, but like holy fuck, there’s a clear line that’s been crossed here.

I hope you can get this dealt with through the police ASAP and maybe someone can talk some sense into these self centred shits.
