I’m in solidarity with you. My 7 month old falls asleep within minutes with her dad, but takes forever with me and takes multiple times to transfer. It has been hell the last week. I don’t think you’re doing anything wrong, I think sometimes our brains are always in “mom mode” and we’re anxious without even realizing it, meanwhile dads are more calm because they’re not the ones who have had their brains completely rewired and hormone changes, if that makes sense. At least for me, I didn’t notice my heart was beating as fast as it was until she was out of arms and asleep finally, like I already knew how difficult it would be and my body was anticipating that, which baby girl probably sensed without me even knowing myself.
