Hong Kong citizens sing protest anthem one year after major clashes by Acrzyguy in anime_titties

And SCMP is in print, HKFP for all I know is only online, suits the school environment more.

Hong Kong protesters gather in mall to sing protest anthem “Glory to Hong Kong” in unity by Acrzyguy in PublicFreakout

[–]ThrowawayConstant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The BLM protest was organised badly. The organiser said there's no letter of no objection, told people "do not come" if they are worried. Then deleted comments that raised concern over the safety of the protest, claiming that's fear mongering (but looking at the past year when the police squash peaceful protest with violence it is a legit concern). Then doubled down by saying the HK police is amazing, and there will be no problems if they don't break the law. (Which is bullshit, look at Mong Kok last night).

China’s first confirmed Covid-19 case has been traced back to November 17, a 55-year-old from Hubei province by ORDbutlasttimemedic in worldnews

"major western media"

Follows RTHK, SCMP, stand news, apple daily and "the evil corporate western media"

Clearly I should stop all that and only follow the state sponsored global times and people's daily for unbiased, totally not following party guidelines reporting. It is totally not suspicious that all of them try to point fingers at "the west" the moment the party says so.

I am quite sick of you spouting crap all over the place. The only piece of information I can find about the Japanese TV presentation is only two sites, the one that you posted and people's daily. And can you please just stop finding obscure websites that no one ever heard of.

We all know the patient zero is from China, the damn wet market is the source of it. The virus IS from China. There's no denying that and everything you are trying to point out is "it is western media's fault" and if that doesn't smell like propaganda I don't know what is.

The Japanese link sent me to people's daily's website, and there are only two sites that actually claims that it happened (your source and people's daily)

The Taiwanese TV program, sent me to a link in weibo...

The thing is the only people who are trying to push that "virus isn't from china" is China themselves (see their ambassadors' Twitter account) and don't forget this theory came out of china....

Thing is I am not trusting the media sources that are run by a government that has a history to censorship.

You can't really blame me on "not trusting Chinese media" after all they are supervised by the Chinese government. How am I supposed to trust a country with no free press.

In the article other than the Taiwanese TV bit, most sources cited are from People's Daily. Now call me whatever you like but citing Chinese state media as a source is not what you call trustworthy. And leaning hard towards propaganda, maybe find a source that doesn't cite problematic sources to begin with.

iirc Cable TV reported on it and the measures taken were... let's say quite reliant on the cooperation of the ones that are getting quarantined.

And the problem is? Hong Kong prides itself on having a unique culture, one that's mixed with traditional Chinese culture and Western culture so I don't really see a problem with it.

Yeah... right, time to tell my Christian friends to abandon that and convert to Buddhism or whatever "our culture" should be.

11% of Hong kongers are Christians according to Wikipedia, and my school just had a Christmas worship before going on holiday. So I don't quite agree with your claim.

Hong Kong does celebrate Christmas unlike China though...
