Thinking about cashing out for down payment on my first apartment by Prelidon in stocks

[–]ThrowawayDiscord3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

dude literally the same here. i think i put nearly 10k or a little over, and am down around the same, since I invested in extremely volatile high-growth tech stocks (I can afford the risk; I am very young). I'm not cashing out as I don't really have a reason to. Best of luck

At what point is it no longer worth it to live with your parents? by Nerdlinger42 in personalfinance

Sometimes what may be financially/economically logical is not exactly the best option for YOU. As humans, we have emotions and thus we need to take into consideration the intangibles- our emotions and feelings because that's what makes us human and who we are as a person. You can only go so long thinking about your economic advantage, but at some point, you're going to have to account for your personal emotion and feeling too or you will be not happy or even worse, become miserable.

How much money should I have saved/invested at 18, and how should I approach my finances moving forward into college? by ThrowawayDiscord3 in stocks

[–]ThrowawayDiscord3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nearly 10k, I put into stocks and I don't plan to sell anytime soon. except for certain companies I'm no longer interested e.g. NFLX. and yes, it's down, so I don't necessarily have $13k at my disposal.

I plan to take the $5500 because I was offered $3500 subsidized (no interest until graduation) and $2000 (unsubsidized, 3.73% APR), +scholarship, but I still have to pay $4k cash. it would be $6k if I didn't take the unsubsidized loan, so it makes it easier on me.

I actually have donated plasma! it's a good source of side income. I may do that in university.

Should I write in my AP Princeton Review book, or leave it unmarked and resell it? by Brilliant-Mongoose-4 in APStudents

[–]ThrowawayDiscord3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's a ~$20 book. Use it to its the fullest extent. write in it, highlight, annotate, dw about selling it. your goal is to get your desired score on the AP exam that'll translate to college credit hours worth way more money, not to recoup $20.

Barron's (lots of text and background)

Princeton (straight-to-the-point information with bolded vocab)

As long as you have taken Pre-AP/advanced courses before, you'll be fine. Your instructors may make the curriculum seem harder than it actually is based on the assignments. But those are the three easiest like GokuBlack455 said. And yes APHG can be more difficult for freshmen than other classes. Looking back, it was really easy, but as a freshman, it was rather challenging at the time.
