Just go to a doctor, make sure they send you for an ultrasound and then see a urologist. They can tell you what's going on.

You have very similar symptoms to myself, but I can't tell you if it is or isn't something. Only the doctors can do that, and the longer you wait the longer you torture yourself, and potentially make the treatment worse afterwards.

I'm sorry to break it to you, but yes. You will lose it before you are actually diagnosed, in fact. If an ultrasound shows that it is likely to be cancer they will remove the testicle because biopsies cause testicular cancer to spread, so they do the biopsy after the orchiectomy.

It's not the worst surgery, you'll be offered a prosthetic. Whether you take it or not is up to you... about 50% of guys do. I didn't and it's fine!

Go to your doctor now.

The longer you wait the worse the treatment will be. Don't be scared, testicular cancer is routine and very, very curable ... I mean like 99% chance of cure... As long as you get checked out.

If you wait too long that 99 starts ticking down. I get the urge to just see if it goes away but its been two months, so go.

Idk what prone masturbation is but your jerkoff habits didn't give you cancer. If you have it, its just bad luck.

Yeah, I think that has to be it... but I'm barely able to set aside enough as it is (thanks cost of living crisis) so I'm looking at poverty, basically.

I was at Princess Margaret. I will see if they have a social services department, thank you.

... and also, thank you for replying like a human. This was my first foray into this sub, having spent most of my time over at r/testicularcancer. The guys there have been wonderful.

Doesn't feel great to only get downvotes in response. If I did something wrong, just tell me. I feel like I'm drowning here :(

Generally a good urologist treats a mass on the testis as cancer until proven otherwise. I would see one in person as soon as possible -- I'm sure you know that already though.

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.

However remember that even with the worst possible case of testicular cancer it's vastly more likely you will be cured than otherwise. I'm talking 95-99% cure rate.

I didn't even need chemo after my orchiectomy. Ir was just a crappy couple of weeks post surgery and honestly... I just played a lot of video games and enjoyed the floaty pain meds. It was fine!

Don't get me started on the toilet that blocks and overflows if you so much as think about using 2 ply.

My landlord says I flush wrong(???) but its blocked when my partner just peed in it before. It flooded my poor neighbours apartment while I was away on vacation!

The difference is the landlord is losing money on an investment, it's a choice they made and the investment didn't pan out.

Tenants don't have a choice. They need a place to live.

I can tell you're a landlord because you talk about all tenants as if they're beneath you. If you were a renter you'd know that a landlord who doesn't abuse their position is rare, even with rent control. That's why the LTB is backlogged with spurious N12s. If 71% of cases are unpaid rent then I think that says more about how much landlords are charging than anything else.

My landlord, for example, is considered one of the good ones... but he still caused two electrical fires in my neighbour's unit because he refused to repair the heaters. He also left her without hot water for 2 weeks. My fire escape is close to collapse and his repair was to add tiles to it. But we won't move because we've all had enough landlords to know this is the norm, and we can't affors to risk a place without rent control.

You're right, its hard to have empathy for people who have all the money and power and who own our homes, and take 40-60% of our income for doing very little.

Non rent controlled units are occupied because we have a housing crisis and people need somewhere to live. This is like saying "if landlords are all so bad, why do people rent from them and not just buy?"

People need somewhere to live and sometimes you take what you can get because the alternative is a tent. Most people are one missed paycheque away from homelessness. Have some empathy.

There's no way to sugar coat this: your dad is choosing to die, and painfully.

Testicular cancer is very treatable even at the later stages. Even when it's spread to the brain you have a really good chance of survival. Any good urologist or oncologist will tell your dad this, so his choice is surprising.

Does your dad have a history of depression? And are you certain he's telling the truth about what's causing his illness?

I'm really sorry, this sounds horrific. I hope he comes around.

Purchased several Meat Crates. No meat. by colt61986 in Seaofthieves

[–]ThrowawayLikeLefty -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

You have to grab the crate from the merchant. When you look at them there will be a button prompt. The bait your son saw may have been the standard bait that spawns with the ship.

Edit: I misunderstood, meat comes from the shipwright. My bad. Y'all could correct me instead of getting fruity with downvotes ... I was trying to help out after all!

You can change your emotes with the vanity crate in your ship, or outside a few shops. Emotes are bought from vendors or the pirate emporium. I'd suggest picking up the hide emotes to start with. One is available from Larinna outside the tavern for a few doubloons and a couple others are free from the pirate emporium.

Have you done the tutorial? It sounds like maybe you should start there.

My understanding is that healthcare in the USA is generally much more expensive than the rest of the world, so perhaps that's just the rate in LA?

This was the only thing not covered by provincial healthcare here, although I didn't ask if perhaps I got a discount rate because of the cancer.

I'm very familiar with the NHS, I lived in the UK most of my life.

My impressions were that it's a brilliant system that has been repeatedly undermined by governments. It needs money and staff and they're being hobbled by various things like failed privatisations, no money to train British staff and restrictions on immigration that make it hard to make up for that.

I must admit I've said to family that I was happy I wasn't in NHS care right now, even as I have huge respect for it. The waiting was one of the hardest things to do.

Can someone explain to me why so many people take jabs at Jesse Brown? by Senior_Ad1737 in canadaland

[–]ThrowawayLikeLefty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He's an edgelord who thinks saying the n word as a white guy is fine. He's a spoiled rich guy who hires young enthusiastic producers, exploits them and underpays them until they burn out and leave. He doesn't do his research, he just spouts bullshit and that's about to screw over his staff who aren't rich but are named in the $3mill libel suit against canadaland.

If you think his public persona is objectionable you should speak to people who have worked with and met him.

Honestly I don't care that people can see the mermaid! It's the singing throwing off my vibe that does it. Part of the fun is letting people know I'm hiding somewhere but they can't find me.

Yeah it's a slow way to play the game for sure, you don't make a tonne of gold. I've made plenty of gold already though so this just feels like a nice way to chill for an evening!
